Sherlok Kholms

Dint had much expectations when I started it. I am a great Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle fan and anything which involve them directly or indirectly, i cant wait to watch. However, this being a russian language show, did gave me some reluctance. But, by God, it was worth. The first episode itself absorbed me and took me to deep level of concentration and mystery.

Very good deduction techniques, all the characters did great job, a little humor inbetween was like masala to curry and Moriarty, as always, was antagonist. A must watch.

Probably the best version of Sherlock Holmes in the last twenty years. Igor Petrenko is totally believable as a young eclectic genius trapped in a world that cannot feed his need for intellectual stimulus quickly enough. he is fragile, nervous, shy, brave, infatuated and clever all at the same time - only the Russians could pull that off.

The complex relationship between Sherlock; the aspiring but plodding writer, Dr Watson, torn into shreds both physically and emotionally through his experience in Afghanistan - and the extraordinary subliminal attraction of Mrs Hudson draws you into an insular world more closely confined, more inexplicable, more intriguing than any previous series.

Terrific production values, supporting cast, complex and fascinating stories - what more could you want. This is gold dust.

This is a wonderful series and it is well worth watching all eight episodes.

I'm accustomed to subtitles so that wasn't a huge problem for me -- I admit that unlike the Italian and Scandinavian shows I'm use to watching, these subtitles were more challenging... I'm not quite sure why.

I loved how the writers started reimagining things and giving us glimpses into storylines that are seemingly quite fresh. One of them is the work that goes into Watson becoming a published author.

The feeling I got watching this was that it was a labor of love by all concerned -- the writers, actors, production crew, everyone.

The acting is excellent and the stories engaging. Keep an open mind and don't let the Cumberbatch or Downey or whoever else has been Holmes intrude on your ability to enjoy these.

The eighth and last episode offers a couple of emotional pay-offs which just made me happy. One is expected, but the other is not and is pretty fun.

Bravo!

In my opinion, one of the best miniseries on the subject, and certainly an excellent Russian production. The staging and scenery is top-notch, and manage to transform one to the late Victorian era. Am looking forward to a repeat watching!

I have no idea why would this purported movie authors would have decided to offend Sherlock legacy this bad, but they seem having succeeded.

This is the most abominable piece of cinema I have ever seen. Poor production, foul actors play, bad scenery, the list goes on.

Special thanks to actor selection team.Who would have ever thought Boyarsky makes a good Lestreight?The worst pick of all possible.Sherlock actor possesses charisma and acting abilities of a jelly bean.Dr.Watson's actor voice and diction are lifeless and barely comprehensible.

It's absolutely everything bad about this movie.
