Jack London's Love of Life

I have never wrote a review before, but I feel I have to tell everyone this film is brilliant, Fantastic acting and will hit you emotionally.

I usually don't enjoy historically set films with the costumes and the accents, my favourite films are thinkers, mind benders, original unique ideas... So I'm pleasantly surprised that this was nothing like Iexpected.

It's hard for me to pin down what made this a great movie for me considering my usual joys as noted above, and there was nothing clear to me that made it remarkable... but I suppose it was just a perfectly acted, perfectly balanced piece of drama.

The Director of this film has done a fantastic job.best Movie I have seen in years.

I haven't got the best eyesight in the world. So I find the current style of action movie really hard to watch. They move far too quickly for me.

Jack London's Love of Life is totally different. Beautifully filmed, it had me gripped from the start and two hours passed in the blink of an eye - the sure fire sign of a fantastic film.

The story is so strong. The acting sublime. The music is stunning. The action moved between three time frames so easily and clearly. Robert Gregg utterly lives up to his reputation as one of the most talented actors on the planet.

All in all, I found this incredibly watchable.

If this doesn't win a mass of accolades, then there is something seriously wrong with the global awards system.

Like with many films now days I keep finding myself getting more excited and enthralled by the actual trailer. Saying that, this dramatic did provide an entertaining level 9 out of 10 for viewing pleasure.

It touched me personally and deeply like most films do with seeing how someone shows such enthusiasm while pursuing some form of employment only to keep getting his soul destroyed. The main character in this film was both likable and unlikeable at the same time presenting us with a sociopath personality.

The way in which this film is presented visually seems the cross between found footage and the more traditional method of filming which works much better than relaying on pure shaky amateur cam that often irritates me the viewer. Saying that I didn't like the way the film was visually filtered and would have liked to have watched a more saturated colour scheme. Something about it all seemed very 90's and washed out, something about it visually felt off.

After all of that the film for me was something I would only watch every so many years if it just happened to be on view on some boring non eventual day which for me would most probably be a Sunday evening or night.

Overall a 9/10 based on entertainment value

Pete Ammel is just amazing, totally convincing . The movie had potential to become a very good drama flick. But at times the movie is even comical, which is fine, but breaks the concept a bit.

This movie was meticulously thought out, the primary & supporting roles were about as close to being perfectly done as it gets, and the content had me traversing a varied landscape of feelings as I watched the story develop. Would I say this was my favorite movie of all time... absolutely not, but it was a well-crafted story which caught me off-guard and pulled me in. I'm not sure what else I could ask for.

All in all, it's a very good movie and I enjoyed it a lot!

I did not know how good Jack London's Love of Life would be, but I was very impressed with this film! -The story is well adapted and told so well through some of the best editing of the year. It's emotional and real and could be a Best Adapted Screenplay contender.

-The pace is pretty good, but does have a slow start and a slow end.

-The music was good and fitting, but also somewhat isolating, matching the feel of the film.

-It is an R-rated film and deservedly so. It has some language spattered throughout, not too bad.

I am glad I saw it and I will say Jack London's Love of Life is worth seeing in theaters! I would give it a solid 8/10! I think most people would enjoy this movie, and would not regret seeing it.
