Skye Hoshi: Anime Girl

I had such a great time watching Skye Hoshi!!! Shout out to the director, cast and crew for all of their hard work and effort to create such a great film.

From the beginning it was engaging, funny, and I had a smile on my face the entire movie. Olivia did such an amazing job playing the role of Skye, and definitely created a Skye Hoshi fan out of me! You can't help but fall in love with Skye from the moment she falls out of the poster, to the end when she gives Kira a taste of her own medicine.

10/10 would definitely recommend you watch this. Great job everyone!

I hope there is a sequel in the works!!

The kind of film that all ages can enjoy. Skye Hoshi is well made with a very talented cast. The film exceeds in what it does well, playing to its strength through comedy and good VFX. There is even a little Rom-Com action but the film does well to not lay it on to heavy. There are plenty of moments for anime fans to enjoy. You get to experience the life and fantasies of an avid anime/manga fan or comic book reader in general. Some scenes even take place at the New York City Anime Expo where many fans venture to playout their Cosplay fantasies. Just seeing that makes it a unique experience! Not spoil but there is a plot twist that hopefully paves the way for a sequel. Go see it!

Upon watching Skye Hoshi, it doesn't take long to recognize that this movie is a labor of love. The directors, producers, cast and crew have clearly put their heart and soul not only into the memorable and endearing characters, but into the story and into fandom culture itself. The acting is great, the music is top notch, the premise is original and captivating, and the film celebrates its audience rather than talking down to it. Skye Hoshi: Anime Girl has all the ingredients to build a passionate fanbase. You owe it to yourself to check out this fun, emotional, funny, exciting example of a movie that's a welcoming love letter to its audience.

Breath of fresh air! I love the characters in this film! Skye Hoshi is my new favorite character, working on my Skye Hoshi Cosplay now. Marvin made me laugh so hard, I'm dead. I also loved to hate Kira, and can't spoil what happens, but her story is one of my favorite parts. Atom is such a nice guy, I could see myself being friends with him IRL. But ultimately, the story of Skye Hoshi is such a new fun concept. As an anime lover, I wish this could happen in real life. But this movie really got me thinking about appreciating life, I love the positive message. It's very universal and I think anyone would enjoy this film, anime lover or not.

A fun, funny, engaging and entertaining movie. All the performances are right on the mark. The filming is great giving just the right sense of place and action. The music is outstanding. Kalani Hubbard is gifted. Not only did he write and direct and act in Sky Hoshi, he wrote four of the songs as well and they are really good songs.

If you are eager for a movie you can watch with your kids or your parents or grandparents with lots of laughs and suspense, no violence and a clever premise then you will surely enjoy Sky Hoshi. And it has a great message about the gifts we have been granted through the use of our senses and our heart.
