The Cook

I enjoyed The Cook because of its surreal nature. It wasn't just another "crazy guy chasing people in the woods" kind of film. (Although that is the main crux of the movie.) It had elements of horror, humor and hallucinations that I found to be mesmerizing at times. It certainly isn't a straight forward gore movie or a trite horror rehash, so I appreciated that. I recommend it because it's not normal. It's not a by-the-numbers kind of film that implements a "Horror 101" structure to make it similar to all other lower budget films of this genre. I imagine that this film isn't everyone's cup of blood, but I found it entertaining. I look forward to seeing other productions arise from Zenawood Entertainment.

Each time I watch this film, I see something else, something more than the previous time. Sometimes it's like watching a whole new film. Now, don't get me wrong, this movie is very memorable. There's humour and wit at all levels, so everyone can get it. There's also an intelligence to the film that only some viewers will understand.

The movie starts out slow, but once you get about 20 minutes in, you're hooked. The movie offers all of the main expectations in a modern film: action, romance/sex, violence, nudity, etc. The effects are awesome for the budget of the film, and Joshua Miller's eye for editing is incredible and unmatched.

I recommend this movie to everyone.

This movie is great,awesome local talent and great special effects.I'm glad I bought this one,hoping there will be a sequel.The scenery was really good as well.It has a trippy kinda feel to it,and if that was intended then they nailed it for sure.I would recommend this movie to all my creepy friends and anyone that enjoys horror films in general.It has a lot of things horror movie fans look for in a film.I would've liked to have been a part of this film.Would've been a great time being involved with this one.I believe Zenawood Entertainment will be bring us more great movies in the future.As they say "the best is yet to come",so keep your eye on them cause you never know what's next to come from Zenawood Entertainment.

Love this movie heaps of gore worth the watch for the Gore did not really get the story but hey it was one fun ride.
