I just cringed at most of this movie. The plot and dialogue seem like a show on the Disney channel aimed at 13-year olds. The premise looked promising, but fell flat. The characters were annoying stereotypes. The love interest was okay at best. The antics were predictable and grossly unrealistic. Over all, it failed to make the viewer care about any of the characters or their relationships. There were a couple funny or thought-provoking one-liners, but far too few to make this a film i'd recommend. It failed to capture the charm of the genre. If you are absolutely bored and just want to pass the time. . .

A fun and refreshing Hallmark movie, written by Julie Sherman Wolfe, about friendships, new beginnings, the ups and downs of PTO (parent teacher organization), family, and love... featuring some day drinking with the girls and a New Kids on the Block song ;)
Rachel Boston delivered a fun and sweet performance as the lead character. Matt Clarke, even if appearing a few minutes, delivered a poignant performance in a touching scene. Carmel Amit and Shannon Chan-Kent complete the unlikely trio of moms having to organize Field Day at school and it shows through the screen that the three ladies had fun shooting their scenes.
This Hallmark movie is unlike what we usually see as the friendship between the three ladies is out front and center, and not the love story between Boston's and Benjamin Ayres' characters.
This is a must watch if you are a Hallmark or rom-com fan.

All the actors are phenomenal and charming but the storyline that should have been incredible falls short on screen. The dialogue and situations are so incredibly juvenile and seems more like it was written by and for middle school aged kids. This is not an adult rom com. From the pajama pants, to the "you like me," to the kicked out of the clique, to the eavesdropping moms. It's just one childish situation after another. The actors are great and I was so looked forward to this movie, but I caught myself on several occasions checking to make sure I hadn't wandered onto the Disney channel. This one is not a golden star.
Rachel and Benjamin are sweet in this. But something didn't gel with the story of their falling for each other. I got that initial attraction but then the drama of going on a date then it not being a date and then the next scenes.. all a stupid plot.
What works in this is the friendship of the three women, lovely how they came together and forged something meaningful and lasting. As a non American I didn't get the big deal of Field Day. We called it athletics in my day and it was run by the school and I don't recall any mothers organising any part of it. They seem to have too much influence on school activities in this film - is this the norm in the States?

This was more about friendship and day drinking than romance I felt, one having appeal to me...the other not so much. The story pitted three PTA outcasts against...I don't know, the cool moms? Widow Jen does not have it all together when she drops her daughter off at school and forgets her lunch...leaves the car in her pajama bottoms which is how she ends up in the forgotten PTA meeting and being mocked on social media. She also ends up on the "leftovers" committee putting on field day with workaholic lawyer Marissa Morris and social influencer Kelly Stewart...who's afraid to show her real life. They attempt to build a romance between Jen and the P. E. Teacher Dan...but it's on and then off and then on and then off, frankly I lost interest which is too bad since I really like both actors and have enjoyed them both in other films.
Again this is more of a girl power, day drinking friendship kind of film...you might enjoy it if that is what you are looking for, but I can't in good conscience recommend it to my fellow romantics. I think they would be disappointed. Maybe it's intended for young modern moms? This may be me showing my age...but we were all about cooperation, hard work, getting the job done and making things truly great for the kids. Love the actors, but I am sorry to say not a recommendation from me.

- TriviaUnlike many other films for The Hallmark Channel which are filmed shortly before airing, sometimes as shortly as a month prior, this was filmed almost a full year before its first broadcast, making it the rare Hallmark film to actually be shot during the season it takes place in.
