It's taken me quite some time to make it through episodes of this anime and I've just given up. It makes no sense, it has no plot and it explains nothing. It also doesn't help that the characters are uninteresting. This anime feels like you missed about 4 episodes per each episode you watched. I'm not sure how this can be enjoyed if it's so hard to follow. It's an anime where things just happen and the viewer is expected to just accept them.
It's hard to follow and it's hard to understand if you wanted to watch something that is confusing and waste your time choose this anime that makes no sense at all.

This anime series is centred on Belle LeBlac; the sole human in a world of anthropomorphic creatures. This has made her an outcast despite her strength and skilled swordsmanship. Wanting to find out where she belongs she sets out hoping to find others like herself. Along the way she will make both friends and enemies and encounter various dangers.
Often when commenting on a series I've noted that I suspect it will be quickly forgotten once it is over... this is certainly the case here. When the second season popped up on my Crunchyroll feed I had no recollection whatsoever of watching the first! It took a little while to get back into it. The story is okay and Belle is a solid enough protagonist, the main antagonist was more irritating than intimidating. Character designs and animation are good but not enough to distinguish this from the numerous similar series around at the moment. At least new viewers won't have a week to wait between episodes so this should be less of a problem for them. Overall I'd not call this a must see but, while fairly forgettable, it isn't bad... give it a go if you like the premise; just don't expect to be blown away by it.

The entire time it felt like I was watching a sequel or spin-off. Nothing is properly explained. Nothing makes sense. When I say nothing, I mean at every single level it made no sense.
Every piece of dialog, the statements, the replies make no sense.
Every action and every reaction, make no sense.
Every bit of lore is ill-explained, and thus, makes no sense. Why call animals "flowers"? Why are the beastkin upset that she eats these "flowers"? What's the big deal about the swords? Why do they worship a tree? Why do they simply fight each other when they know the tree controls both sides? Why is everything done as a musical?
I watched the entire first season hoping at *some* point they'd do something/say something that made sense. Not only did they never explain the previous things that made no sense, but they just keep heaping on more things... that made no sense.
It's as if the writer had some sort of curse of madness and had to roll a D100 for every piece of dialog and ever action/reaction.
