Haven't seen his show in a long while so I was happy to see it airing on tv yesterday. He's gotten a bit racier than previous shows, but still so funny. My only wish was that Achmed would've been there along with the others. Achmed is super popular and I am wondering why he was left out of this one. Being hearing impaired I'm not able to attend a live concert as I need the captioning on my tv to know what Jeff and his puppets are talking about, so I'm hoping to see more new shows featuring Jeff and the guys in the boxes on tv soon. I'm amazed at how talented he is and I really enjoy everything I've seen him do.
Right, well as the opportunity presented itself to sit down and watch "Jeff Dunham: Me the People", of course I did so. However, while I am not overly much a fan of Jeff Dunham, then this wasn't really something that had me worked up. But I still opted to watch it, as I hadn't seen it.
There is good news here for the fans of Jeff Dunham, because "Jeff Dunham: Me the People" does follow the formula that he has been running on for years and somewhat perfected, I suppose. So if you like his previous many shows, then you will also enjoy this one.
Personally then it is always Peanut that steals the show, and it was no different in "Jeff Dunham: Me the People", because Peanut was spunky, energetic and, well, being Peanut.
The material in "Jeff Dunham: Me the People" was good, and there were some good laughs here and there, and Jeff Dunham does take some good jabs at the current US president, as well as today's society with the sad addiction to mobile devices. So he does work some interesting contents into his routines.
Yeah, I was entertained by watching "Jeff Dunham: Me the People", however it is hardly something I will return to watch a second time.
My rating of "Jeff Dunham: Me the People" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Why do we have a guy who introduces us to his cute kids at the end of the show, and uses cute puppets...bringing in very uncute, overused and often crude topics?? In earlier shows "I Kill You" was fun times amongst the other characters but as some of the low reviews here have indicated... pretty poor material and jokes as old as the hills in this edition. Come on Jeff, give us some family fun new angles and leave out the crudity, you'll still make as much money if not more. And I reckon Jeff could work on convincing us more that he is not a ventriloquist, perhaps by omitting to have so many of his blank stares which are then followed by laughing at his puppets...comes across as someone who laughs at their own jokes eh.
Given how hard it is to even make a basic joke in todays Woke environment, Jeff was able to cover a variety of todays topics and still get the laughs. As many people have been saying... Walter is a ringer for Biden and of course Jeff takes advantage of the situation (of course any Lefty will hate to see reality slapped in their faces) and gets a fair and not too many jokes in.
Sorry, but when Biden is more Walter than Walter is... its pretty easy to line the jokes up and bowl them over. But, he didn't spend his entire time jabbing on Biden. He then goes to his other puppets and a new one and gets a bunch of jokes in on a variety of todays topics with lots of laughs.
The main problem I see with this special is it could have gone on for another 20 or so minutes to take it to a full hour.
You can clearly see where the editing happened and makes you wonder, what did he talk about that didn't make the final cut? Was that done so you will go out and see his show or was it that the 'powers that be' didn't want us to see what he did??
I always have a good time with Jeff Dunham and would give him an 8, but with the shorter set, I rank it a 7.

I'm a big fan of ventriloquists, starting as far back as Edgar Evans and Charlies McCarthy and Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney. I've enjoyed many since, especially Terry Factor, Puff the Magic Dragon, and Jeff Dunham. But every ventriloquist reaches a point where he should zipper his mouth and Dunham is fast approaching that time.
Dunham, at his peak, was maybe the best ever for being able to say stuff without seeing his lips. No more. Even the simple stuff is revealing now, though his attempts to re-direct are good. Simply - he lost the skill. He's still OK, and probably better than OK, but he no longer is what he once was.
Maybe more disturbing, his comedy isn't that funny, and never was, but this film has some really disgusting parts. There is a place for disgusting stuff in some stand-up comedy, but IMO it doesn't belong in a puppet show.
If you're a fan, miss this one or it may change your opinion. If you're Dunham reading this review, time to consider retiring while you still have a reputation to protect.
