Julayi is a Throughly Entertaining Movie with Rib Tickling Comedy and Dialogues.

Julayi is Trivikram's Magic all the way, he deserves 100% accolades for his story telling , dialogues and screenplay. The first half of the movie runs at a decent pace and entertains you thoroughly with Trivikram's punch dialogues in comedy. The second half has good comedy as well with action . The movie lacks the romantic scenes between the lead pair and definitely Illeana failed to give a glamorous performance. Though we will feel that there is lack of gripping scenes and most of the things happen very easily for the hero, one of the scene to mention which describes the whole AP State police is helping him without any proper reasoning or logic and you will feel disconnected from the movie a bit and is not convincing but given the entertainment quotient we can ignore them.

Julayi has all the elements to become a Super Hit or Even a Blockbuster if it was more gripping and had some emotions to it, Telugu Audience likes emotions and sentiments which were totally missing here . It would have been nice to see some gripping sequences but the Director main concentration was on Entertainment and he delivered it with fulfillment. Some of the scenes in the movie does not exhibit the necessary logic but things always happen in favor of the Hero.

The entertainment portion of the movie is on par with the blockbusters like Dhookudu and Gabbar Singh, and Julayi has all the ingredients of a successful movie. It has all the commercial elements of a successful movie and will definitely become one of the Best in Allu Arjuna nd Trivikram's career so far.

Average but fun treat.

The best successful mantra for Telugu Directors these days.. copying from various films and "Julaayi" is no exception in this genre.

Trivikram. What Happened 2 U! Julayi is a mix bag of Hollywood Films. Allu Arjun- Sherlock Holmes. Sonu Sood- Prof.Moriarty+Joker(Dark Knight). Rajendra Prasad- Watson. Introduction Scene- Dark Knight Joker bank robbery Scene(COPY). Julayi Title Song Steps- Step Up-2(Copy). Car Chase Scene- 'Red' movie car chase scene+'2012' movie 'Car through Falling Building' scene(Copy). 'Money on fire' scene and villain calling hero- Dark Knight(Copy). Hero and Villain head 2 head scenes- The Mechanic(Theme Copy)+Sherlock Holmes'A game of Shadows'(Copy). Ileana-Jalsa characterization and Looks(Xerox Copy).

But Trivikram own talent is duologue's which is the main asset for this movie.

A game of an ego

After the disaster of khaleja (commercially) Director Trivikram Srinivaas came with a beautifully molded Crime action comedy. Allu Arjun with a different look and ease in his performances took the film to a different level. The story revolves around a robbery committed by an ex-minister who want to spent the money in his next elections. Unfortunately, the money was missed and the antagonist caught by police with the help of Protagonist. The antagonist ego hurts. How the protagonist fought with the bad ass and surrender the stolen money to police is the remaining story. As usual the punchy dialogues of writer cum director Trivikram Srinivas was nice and crisp. The music of Devi Sri Prasad was perfect match to the director vision. And the last, A perfect mind game.

On the whole Julai is "You ll scold him, but u ll like him" kind.

Starring: Allu Arjun,Ileana,Sonu Sood,Rajendra Prasad,Kota ,Brahmi & others Genre: Action/Comedy Story,Screenplay and Direction: Trivikram Srinivas Producer: S. RadhaKrishna Music: DSP Certification:U Release Date: 09/08/2012 Premise:

Raju believes in not believing the beliefs of regular life. Sweating for money is against his rules. But can risk it for quick bucks. His life converges with a robber who robbed a bank. The ranginess of these two with their way of reaching the end point is the plot. Synopsis:

Antagonist Protagonist Clash is the force of the film. Both seem to be aiming at same target but with different approach. Director implemented it efficiently. He took the help of his mind and more of pen to make it convincing. Theater was eulogizing for each and every knock dialog. In fact his dialogs are better seen and heard than written. It's a verbal feast with hero like Arjun doing no mistake to cop the expectations in every department. He tried his level best for proving the mettle and his desperation for a hit. There weren't any heavy performance oriented scenes or dialogs in the film. Bunny did his part quiet well. Ileana appeared famish and very thin though in some scenes she was look able. Rajendra Prasad lived to the mark. Whatever audience expect with this combination, AA and Trivikram, it's all there. Barini, Kota, Brahmi have their share under Trivikram's tree and others are enjoyable too.Shyam and Chota K .Naidu shared the camera work and presented the movie at level7 visual treat. DSP is energetic."Pakdo Pakdo is rocking num…….." so were the others. Action scenes went slightly over reality but still doable.

Trivikram didn't turn up after Kaleja and AA didn't turn up with a decent hit since few films. Both of them took utter care in religious handling of their jobs. Trivikram can be called the director with best "convincing" skills in industry. He is lucky as he is a writer himself so visualization is first on the paper while he writes down. But Khaleja seems to have everything in it still couldn't score .Same with his dialog work for TeenMaar. This time by teaming up with Allu Arjun and title like "JULAE" he made best use of his every ability. Two persons doing unlawful things still try to follow their own law. This is how story drives and later take turns. Sonu Sood character doesn't seem to be so much to be hated though he is the villain and Arjun cannot be taken side even he is the hero, such was pen work by Trivikram. There was a good clarity about the characters so audience wouldn't get confused. Arjun lend his hand in every move to make it appear impressive. Arjun was good looking and matured. Dance numbers are slightly below his usual energy levels, but still they didn't go overboard. Teaming up with DSP for a song is creative idea.Rajendra Prasad was used at his fullest, the veteran can still handle some more space .But as it's a commercial number he spaced himself. Movie seems to have good following in all centres from A-Z. On the whole Julai is "You ll scold him, but u ll like him" kind.

A pure trivikram movie..A descent entertainer !!!

I love idealogy behind the movie where director want to show that happiness lies being simple and expecting less ....The director portraited the message well by using both the protagonist

Ileana-- when she was ugly she was free and happy!! After makeover she faces lots of problems even comes close to death Allu arjun--His dream to become a millionaire in very short time...realize that life is not movie! expect less live simple!!

The movie starts with quote "Even if u want buy a lottery ticket 1Lakh you have to buy with your hard earn 1 rupee". It is thought provoking statement that Everything looks easy in this globalized this world but nothing comes easy !!"

The star cast in the film is almost same has as 2004 flick Athadu but still the director tried to keep the freshness in the film.

The technical aspects, songs, allu arjun acting main strong points...Sonu sood also performed very well. They were many characters in the movie which stay for very short time which was for two or three frames.

Negatives aspects--100% of the guess allu arjun makes in one go becomes true..which is not even close to realistic

--They was no conclusion to actress character

It worth watching for goofy dialogues and comedy scenes which were trademark for trivikram from years of his filmography !! Brahmandanam performance was good as usual!!

Entertaining... if you like over the top movies

If you liked Aarya 2, then you should enjoy this movie well. I think Aarya 2 is Allu Arjun's best movie. Entertaining, fun and full of awesome, creative dance sequences. Julayi doesn't fare as well, but is similarly fun. The dance sequences are also well choreographed. But lest you get the wrong idea - This is a good masala movie. Judge it by conventional movie standards and look for logic or artistic merit, you're going to loathe it.

Allu plays Ravi, a loafer who shuns hard work and looks to make the quick, easy buck. He uses clever (though hilariously implausible) logical deductions to predict a bank heist and superhuman (hilariously insane) stunts to thwart the villain.

This makes the villain target him for revenge, which forces the local police to fake his death so that he's off radar. They also spirit him away to Hyderabad in some sort of a Witness Protection Program kind of deal. Here, he meets the heroine, Madhu, and of course, romance blossoms. The movie continues in the same insane vein till the end. It's utterly ridiculous, completely surreal, and at the same time, entertaining. If you like this type of over the top movies, this is a very good one. If you cringe at outrageous stunts and implausible story- lines, stay far faaar away.

Go and watch and get load of entertainment

Julayi is basically a fun-feat to all the audience who expects most of satirical dialogues from the So called dialogues magician maestro Trivikram. The first half will just passes off with a blink of an eye. However, action scenes should have been much better. The sixth-sense of the protagonist is justified. The actual twist in the tale will be in the second half where Rao Ramesh joins in hand with Sonu Sood to robber the 1500 crores. Allu Arjun's power pack performance added the flovour of Trivikram's satirical dialogues. Songs picturisation is becoming better and better for TFI which gives toughest competition with BFI. Bramhanandam's shooting episode with Hemalatha (totally a misconception from Bhrahmi and hemalatha's point of views) is just hilarious. Illeana was just too skinny. However her acting skills are impressive as usual. Tanikella Bharani is excellent. M.S Narayana is good. Dharmavarapu is OK. Kota excelled as usually. Brahmaji justified his role. Last but not the least, a special appreciation to be given to Natakireeti Rajendraprasad who has excelled with his performance as timid Police Officer. Rao Ramesh is good. To conclude this, there is less chaos with more entertainment unlike the other films coming out from TFI now. The appropriate synonym of "Julayi" would be "Medhavi" as protagonist always foresees the next step of Antagonist. Trivikram has bagged a sure hit in his basket. The final verdict is "Just go and watch this movie with family to share the fun-feat entertainment to your family members as well"

Mostly fun if you can stop picking which movie each scene comes from

Okay, after watching Routine Love Story anything would have to be a massive improvement so maybe I am being a little too easy on Julayi but overall this was a enjoyable enough way to spend an evening. Naturally it is highly derivative and sometimes it is very difficult to ignore the sudden thought popping into your head of where you have seen this scene before but at least the disparate scenes were put together with reasonable cohesion.

On the plus side the whole film does not seem to take itself too seriously, it rocks along at a reasonable pace and it does not overstay its welcome at all. On the negative side some of the jokes are a little forced, some of the acting is a little annoying, inevitably the item songs took you completely out of the film, some of the ADR was poor, some of the actors cannot lip sync to save their lives and there is not enough of Ileana especially in the last quarter of the film.

The direction was solid, the cinematography was good and overall a not exactly taxing way of spending a few hours. However, it does illustrate how bereft of ideas modern Indian cinema seems to be as far as making films is concerned - it really is far too derivative to be anything but a pleasant interlude on an otherwise boring day. Okay Hollywood at times is just as bad but that is no excuse for others to follow the same path of lack of originality.

A Perfect medley of Hollywood films

It is very disgusting to watch an "innovative" director Trivikram's "Celluloid"-Julayi.....He has joined the bandwagon of mundane directors of tollywood. Movie looks pretty good to watch for general telugu audience who have not had a glimpse of recent Hollywood blockbusters. Trivikram should have used his literary skills on authentic themes which are supposed to be developed by him. The punch liners, comedy and humor are great and are a routine feast like many of trivikram's movies.. Allu Arjun has not been fully utilized in dance...It is embarrassing to watch him walking forward for a thumping beat... Ileane is good and all cops were made fools in this movie..

Mr.Trivikram please do not let telugu cinema down with plagiarism. It is my humble request.

a good movie with loads of action and comedy!!!definitely alluarjun has been never portrayed in such a movie so its a first time 4 him.there is trivik mark all over the movie and his dialogues have reached next level and it is definitely a boost 4 him after the box office dud KHALEJA.ileana should have gained some weight otherwise her acting is good.the makeup of rajendra prasad should have been less and brahmanandam dharmavarapu and ms add to the humour quotient!!!1st half is very gud with some witty lines and excellent humour touches.2nd hf climax is terrific which ll be a big boost 4 d film in the long run.taking of songs r very good especially oh madhu song and arjun is in his elemental best in dances WATCH IT ONCE AND U LL DEFINITEY WATCH IT 2ND TIME.

nice and superb

Trivikram sir superb direction, dialog delivery is super. I'm big fan of Trivikram sir punches.Bunny action superb. Comedy is nice.Brammanandum sir comedy is less in movie.heroin plays a key role too.Ultimate movie. Songs are plus point. Still so many saying it's average but I'm saying it's superb. Super turn for bunny. Dance is awesome. Camera taking is perfect. Fights and stunts are the plus points of this movie. While seeing this movie!I, myself seen this movie 20 times in theater and computer. Story is logically perfect but some stunts are not good. Interval fight is mind blowing. Even though d movie lags the time some what still movie is cool and superb.

Julay...With Ultimate joy :D

Julay...With Ultimate joy :D Trivikram once again proved that he's no.1 in dialogs ,especially punch dialogs :) Almost every Scene is comprised of enormous humor.

First half is superb with Rib-Tickling comedy and 2nd half concludes the story with required comedy at regular intervals...

Bunny is amazing with his dialog delivery and dances...He tried one of the hardest moment of "slow motion" , a treat to watch him on screen. Ileana has a less prominent role , done well.

Songs are Picturized brilliantly and the dances of bunny added essence to them. BGM is good. So guys , please watch it in theaters , don't encourage piracy:)

Final Word : 2012 is not world end...It's completely Mega Trend \m/ My Rating : 4.1134/5

Allu Arjun & Sonu Sood Rival

From the director who gave hits like Athadu and Jalsa, comes another entertaining movie, Julayi. Allu Arjun has donned a new avatar acting as a carefree and intelligent man with a purpose. His dialogue delivery is a plus point in the movie. Ileana, as an innocent girl, is given a role to play instead of just being a glamorous eye candy. Unfortunately, it was slightly off-putting to see her because she was a bit too skinny. Sonu Sood, as the antagonist, was great. His character was a perfect parallel to Allu Arjun's. The comedy scenes were executed well and did not interrupt the flow of the story. The screenplay was refreshing. The songs were nice, with DSP as music director. The editing and direction were both good.

Trivikram also joined other Telugu movie directors

I am totally disappointed after watching the movie, the movie is lacking everything in it except for the routine telugu hero extra ordinary powers... Only positive features in the film are Trivikram sir's dialogs which lasted only in the 1st half and of course the dance by allu arjun who brought new standards in the field of dancing for the industry... Apart from these 2 things everything else is awful.....robbery scene was childish spoiling the fame of dark night scene, Ileana role lasted for very short duration and has no much importance, finally entire police department relies on allu arjun for catching the villain and for other police jobs. Where is the trivikram sir who directed Nuvve nuvve,Athadu and Khaleja where he gave utmost importance to comedy, relations and characters along with their values rather than violence and action episodes...All telugu people miss that old trivikram sir and as of me i don't like this new style of trivikram sir where he also takes movies in which a hero will have extraordinary strengths and can kill any number of men who come in his way, the one who can run faster than Scorpios moving at top speeds which was shown in this film.

Average Movie

Trivikram dialogs superb, but it will take time to get into the audience . nice comedy... but boring fights, chasing's. and we cant see Illiana in last 40mins... Arjun costumes superb.. he is looking bit fat in this movie. The story is set on the backdrop of Vizag and here lives Ravi (Allu Arjun) who is having common sense. But unlike the regular youth, he wants to earn money in short span. He takes some money from his father and sets into IPL betting. In this process, he met Bittu (sonu) who is a planning for robber bank. Bittu and his gang rob a bank and Ravi manages to get him arrested. With this, his life is in danger and Ravi is sent by the police to Hyderabad for protection. He starts staying with ACP Sitaram Rao (rajendra prasad). He also meets Madhu (ileana) and falls in love. The first half goes on a mix of serious and lighter note with elements of comedy and some action. The second half also goes with the same momentum but overall it is the humour that dominates.

for first time viewers it would be Avg film.... it may get into audience like Athadu... :)

utter waste of time......

I respect Trivikram a lot....and a large part of this respect mainly due to the brains he puts in writing scripts....if u follow Telugu movies regularly then u know that Trivikram is not a small name in TFI....He is the reason for success of films like Nuvvu Naaku Nachchaav, Athadu, Nuvve nuvve etc. All these films involve average plots but excellent writing and hilarious comic performances. As far as Trivikram is concerned he started losing the grip since jalsa (2008)and julayi one such lazy attempt from this ace director......it clearly shows on the screen that no effort is put in writing it relies heavily on star power of allu arjun and some respite is provided by rajender prasad with a weak role other actors do their role as per scope.....but movie offers nothing new.....its a pity that he lifted dialogs and scenes from the dark knight!!!!!

watch it if you have nothing better to watch

A very disappointing movie

A very disappointing movie from Trivikram. I can understand if he gets inspired by a few Hollywood movies but ripping of scenes and dialogues is not commendable. I seriously could not find any intelligent plot between the lead character and the villain. I think this is the first movie where Trivikram has penned dialogues illogically. The second being Attarintiki Daredi. The only refreshment in the movie is Rajendra Prasad who was at his natural best. Certain scenes in the initial bank robbery are so stupid. Why do you have to break open the locker using drills when you break open the locker with a demolition crane ? I hope telugu directors work on their script and screenplay before they put it on the big screen. Have a quality team to discuss on the story and script and Identify all the loop holes and mistakes before the shoot.

A humble request from a telugu cinema fan.

PS: When you rip off scenes like this from Hollywood it makes us think twice when you say 'Kill Piracy'. Hope you understand.

Thanks and All the Best.

Just plain stupid.

I Saw this Movie in dubbed version so it might differ slightly, but this Movie was so dumb in so many ways. How on Earth is a common man allowed to do all the cop stuff.

And so many stupid one liners. Why dies the mail caracters explain every action like the audience is so stupid that they will never figure out on Their own.

Not worth it. Spare your time and brain cells.

South Indian Movies in some ways Can be better than Bollywood. But they also do have tendency to have really no brainer and no-sense scenes, and so does this one.

Quite good for mass audiences!

Allu Arjun is at his energetic and stylish best through the film. He used cleverly Trivikram's Dialogues. He's action expressions to dance moves, everything is praise able. Ilena looks beautiful and she performed well at comedy-romantic scenes. Rajendra Prasad's classy performance will vastly engage you. Sonu Sood is good enough as Bitto, kinda he exceeded his limit in a brilliant way. Kota Srinivasa Rao did meaningful performances. M.S. Narayana and Brahmanandam provokes many laughs and they are hilarious. Rao Ramesh is decent. First half is quiet engage able and pace is good. Trivikram didn't create even a small sequence of Madhu (Ilena) and leave it incomplete. Actions sequences VFX by Pixelloid is praise able. Climax sequences are routine. DSP's background score is decent but song's music is not as expected. Quite good for mass audiences!
