Clubhouse

What I thought was going to be just another run of the mill "feel good" movie turned out to be so much more. With just the right touch of black comedy, the audience is introduced to an injured war vet who is trying to use his family's home for a greater good. But changing one's life is not so easy. And Robert soon learns that everything is not as it seems... This incredible film did an amazon job of building the suspense and keeping me guessing. Tim Abell's performance is to be applauded, and the cinematography as well as the the performances from the rest of the cast is downright fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The rich and complex development of the characters in the movie 'Clubhouse' made me feel absolutely uplifted, in a film noir kind of way. I loved the film for this very reason. It was twisted, but revealed a truth. Friends of the protagonist, Robert, played out like the personal demons of his mind that had to be ''deep sixed'' for Robert to achieve his life's dreams; illustrating that a part of you may have to die for you to become who you are destined to be. Honestly, isn't that life? If we are really, really honest with ourselves, we have to admit that we project our problems onto those around us, and then come to hate those qualities of ourselves that we see in others. We use each other to reflect the state of our own consciousness. As we grow, we weed out the toxic influences, and hopefully develop deep friendships with those that mirror our 'true-selves', our essence, our soul. We go through the labyrinth of life wrestling with our inner-selves. Until we realize the hands around our neck are our own. I want to see more of this avant-garde writer / director. Emancipate your mind. Join the 'Club'.

I've had the pleasure of talking to Tim able who played Robert in the movie and he is a very nice guy the movie itself is great and it's good to see Leslie Easterbrook in a movie also

I had the pleasure of watching the film Clubhouse. Having no prior knowledge of the plot, characters, actors or director I didn't know what to expect.

Imagine my excitement when I was pleasantly surprised by what I had just watched.

The plot was engaging, suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. A lot of independent, smaller films lack coherent story lines and plot holes are numerous. Clubhouse was the exact opposite. The timeline of events played out smooth and natural. Kudos must be given to the writer.

The characters were dynamic and multifaceted. The dialogue was real and again natural. Kudos must be given to the writer, director and actor.

I recommend the film to anyone who is looking for an entertaining night in.
