This year the Bundschuh family will spend their holiday in Mallorca.Gundula (the mother), Gerald (the father), Edgar (the grandfather who suffers senile dementia) and the two children have been invited by Susanne (the mother -in-law of Gundula).As soon as they arrived in Mallorca the problems begin.Edgar got lost, but they find him again,later in a rest place a pickpocket stole the wallet of Gerald. Edgar go away with the car and Gundula have to pay a taxi for reaching the hotel.Then in the hotel they meet Gundula's brother, Hadi and his wife Rose.

The Bundschuh family gets new neighbours, but there the trouble starts for Gundula and Gerald. Brother-in-law Hadi and his wife Rose are the new neighbors and from that moment on everything goes wrong for the Bundschuhs.

The topic is Covid 19. The elderly couple is looking forward to a dream vacation, but one of the family is positive for Corona. Accordingly, everyone must stay at home in quarantine.

Während sich Schwiegermutter Susanne schon als First Lady betrachtet und Bruder Hadi sich zum Ghostwriter für Geralds Politreden berufen fühlt, entfaltet Schwägerin Rose ihr Potenzial als Laienpredigerin. Je näher der Wahltag rückt, umso mehr geraten alle Bundschuhs aneinander. Ihre Kandidatur artet in einen persönlichen Zweikampf zwischen Gundula und Gerald aus, bei dem die Familienmitglieder sich entscheiden müssen, auf wessen Seite sie stehen. Gundula ereifert sich mit guten Ideen für die Zukunft des Dorfs und will den leer stehenden alten Konsum wieder als Treffpunkt mit Kaffeestube, Lädchen und Poststelle beleben. Mit nur einer Stimme Mehrheit gewinnt sie die Wahl: Die Überraschung ist perfekt, Gerald beleidigt - und eine tiefe Ehekrise die Folge.
