The staff of St. Denis Medical have had their much-needed rest, and now they're getting ready to resume work as Season 2 has received a premiere date. The medical mockumentary first aired on NBC in late 2024 and quickly won over audiences and critics, cementing itself as a breakout hit. Created by comedy veterans Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin, the team behind Superstore and American Auto, the show brought their signature workplace humor to the world of healthcare. St. Denis Medical delivered another acclaimed entry in their comedy portfolio and ultimately escaped the wave of cancellations that struck the network early in the year. We officially have the NBC Fall lineup, and it looks exactly as we would’ve expected.

Unfortunately, we’re still lamenting the loss of scripted TV with the acquisition of basketball, and the Fall slate certainly reflects that, as there is slim pickings outside of One Chicago, Law & Order, and Brilliant Minds.

But it’s still comforting to have stalwart franchises on their same nights. The familiarity of that breeds comfort.

Wednesdays and Thursdays are the juggernaut nights with a full slate of the two franchises. Because, yes, Law & Order: Organized Crime will accompany the other Law & Orders on Thursdays, airing the fifth season to those who may not have tuned in for it on Peacock.

Given that we still don’t have word on the series’ renewal, they’re hoping to build up a bigger audience by re-airing it on broadcast.

NBC has announced the Fall 2025 premiere dates for all of your favorite shows and some of the upcoming series that will air on the network.

The upcoming television season will begin in early September with sports coverage, but you’ll have to wait until September 22 for original programming to begin airing new episodes.

NBC’s new season will kick off on the 22nd with the premiere of The Voice‘s new cycle.

One thing to note about the list of premieres is that NBC has decided to wait to air the new comedy shows Stumble and Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe‘s The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.

The second season of The Hunting Party has also been pushed to 2026.

A new show that will premiere this fall is Jimmy Fallon‘s unscripted series On Brand with Jimmy Fallon, which will get two episodes per week on multiple nights.

We’re eagerly awaiting the crisp feel of Fall, the cozy vibes of a murderous small town, and the heartfelt drama of our favorite hospital.

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long for it, as Fox has officially released its lightly scripted but impactful Fall schedule for its many series.

We know most of you are locked in on that scripted content, so we’re happy to say that Murder in a Small Town and Doc come together for a killer good night of TV! Are Tuesdays the new Thursdays? It feels like it.

Sadly, there isn’t much scripted television programming floating around outside of CBS. Many of the other broadcast networks have leaned heavily into reality programming, competition shows, and sports.

Andor's Adria Arjona has joined the heist thriller remake alongside Michael B. Jordan. She comes in to replace Taylor Russell, who departed the production over creative issues. The Amazon MGM Studios remake is set to break into theaters on March 5, 2027.

Variety reports that as soon as Russell left the project, an immediate search began for a new lead, and found one in Arjona. She fills the shoes of Faye Dunaway and Rene Russo, who played Crown's foe-turned-lover in the 1968 Steve McQueen and 1999 Pierce Brosnan versions of the film; they both center around a man who becomes a high-stakes thief to alleviate his boredom with his wealthy lifestyle. Fresh from performing on-stage at Back to the Beginning, Ozzy Osbourne's farewell concert in Birmingham, England, Yungblud is headed out on the road. The English singer was singled out for his performance at the star-studded metal extravaganza, and will now be setting out on tour to support his new album Idols, which was released last month. The tour kicks off on July 25 in metal-mad Romania, and will wind through Europe, then make its way to Japan, the United States, and Canada before looping back to the continent to conclude in Italy on Halloween. The tour will then resume next April for a series of dates in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The musician has had a long association with Osbourne: Yungblud considers the British metal legend to be one of his idols, and both Ozzy and his wife, Sharon, appeared in Yungblud's 2022 music video for his song "The Funeral.

CBS’ long-running “60 Minutes” has been nominated for 13 News & Documentary Emmy Awards, which the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced on Thursday.

Of those 13 nods, one was for “The Democratic Ticket,” the episode that aired on Oct. 7, 2024, in which Bill Whitaker interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris and that Donald Trump claimed was “a giant Fake News Scam,” accusing CBS of deceitfully editing her answer about Gaza and filing a $20 billion lawsuit stating as much (CBS has maintained Trump’s claims are false).

It’s a proud day for Ireland as two of its native sons, Hollywood actors Jamie Dornan and Conor MacNeill, launch the feature and television production entity Blackthorn Films.

The new venture will be based in the northern region of the country, where Dornan and MacNeill were born and raised. They met on the 2015 film “The Siege of Jadotville,” and have since co-starred in projects including “The Tourist,” “The Fall” and the Oscar-winning “Belfast.”

At launch, the pair hired producer Shauna Shivers-McAtamney to oversee Blackthorn’s film and TV slate. The company is a recent recipient of the BBC’s TV Small Indie Fund, which supports the growth of grassroots production shops across the U.K.

Yep, Jamie Dornan was glad to not have landed the same role that eventually turned him into an international heartthrob almost never came his way, and he wasn’t exactly crushed when it slipped through his fingers the first time.

In a throwback chat with GQ, Dornan revealed that Charlie Hunnam actually beat him to the punch. “I was beaten to it the first time by Charlie Hunnam and I felt a certain amount of relief when he got it, to be honest,” Dornan admitted. “I thought, ‘This would have been fun, but it would have been a strange ride. The film is the long-awaited remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the very first full-length animated film that Walt Disney produced and helped launch the Disney film empire that endures today. Coming 15 years into Disney's modern remake cycle, it is certainly surprising that a live-action remake of Snow White took this long. We have some sad news to share today, as the official Wings Hauser page on social media has revealed that the prolific character actor passed away over the weekend at the age of 77. As the post reads, “Movie icon Wings Hauser took flight in the arms of his film & music partner, Cali Lili Hauser at their studio this weekend.“

Known for having one of the coolest names in cinema history, Wings Hauser was actually born Gerald Dwight Hauser on December 12, 1947. “Wings” was part of a stage name (Wings Livinryte) he used for a 1975 folk music album called Your Love Keeps Me Off the Streets, and he was credited as Wings Livinryte when he appeared on an episode of the TV series Cannon that same year. After that, he moved on to calling himself Wings Hauser.

Hauser made his screen debut with an uncredited appearance in the 1967 film First to Fight.

When a beloved film doesn't make enough money at the box office, or even make back its budget, it's always a sad reality. Especially when that movie happens to be a classic in the making. Many different films every year unfortunately don't live up to financial expectations.

While the numbers are never certain, as there are so many factors involved in making a budget, the financial disappointment of a film should never interfere with the audience's feelings. The quality of a film does not always have any indication or connection to the box office.

There Was No Honor Among Thieves Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023)

Despite much audience appreciation for an incredible Dungeons & Dragons film, Honor Among Thieves bombed at the box office. The film failed to garner mass audience appeal despite the name recognition in the title. Despite earning more than its budget, the film needed much more to break even.

The SAG-afra Awards took place on Sunday night, February 23, hosted by Kristen Bell, and featuring many star-studded introducers, such as Quinta Brunson, Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Kerry Washington and many more.

Top nominees included Wicked, which entered the night with five nominations, A Complete Unknown with four nominations and Emilia Pérez close behind the other two with three nominations.

In January 2025, it was reported that David Leitch was in talks to direct Warner Bros.' Ocean's 14. However, the long-awaited heist sequel will reportedly not be the next movie Leitch makes.

Instead, per Deadline, Leitch has signed on to direct an untitled bank heist action movie. The project is moving quickly toward production at Amazon. Plot details remain under wraps. Mark Bianculli, whose credits include Hunters, Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector, and the upcoming Cliffhanger reboot, wrote the screenplay. Leitch will also produce with Kelly McCormick under their 87North banner, alongside Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum, with Bianculli serving as executive producer of the project.

The South Korean box office saw a major shake-up this weekend with the arrival of “Captain America: Brave New World,” which took a commanding lead in its debut. The Marvel film dominated with a massive market share, pushing holdover “Hitman 2” down the rankings.

“Captain America: Brave New World” opened with KRW5.91 billion ($4 million), accounting for 62.2% of the total market share. The superhero epic attracted 583,851 viewers in its opening weekend, amassing a cumulative total of $5.5 million, according to Kobis, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council.
