Resumen
Reviewers say 'F*** Marry Kill' offers a blend of comedy, romance, and thriller, with Lucy Hale's performance and cinematography praised. Humor and witty banter are strengths, making it enjoyable for some. However, others find the mystery dull, thrills lacking, and plot clichéd. The blend of genres is uneven, with romantic comedy aspects more successful. Plot twists and character development receive mixed reactions, with some appreciating the ending and others finding it predictable. Overall, it's a decent, light entertainment.

F, Marry, Kill is a rom-com murder mystery that's not to be taken too seriously.
The dating apps, dates and updating friends when meeting random is relateable and happens in the real world.
The reasoning for their actions and motivations make sense and I found the humour and conversations, felt like watching a bunch of friends and I laughed out loud several times.
Lucy Hale is fabulous on screen and I always enjoy her comedic banter.
If you can watch a casual film about a bunch of friends on shenanigans and be open to a 30-year-old woman changing her life, this is a decent watch.

F Marry Kill (2024) is a new comedy mystery thriller made by Lionsgate and it was very mediocre.
Positives for F Marry Kill (2024): The movies looks nice and it's shot competently. Lucy Hale and Virginia Gardner give decent performances in the movie. The movie moves at a good pace and doesn't overstay its welcome. There is some good humor in the movie. And finally, the reveal of the killer was definitely surprising.
Negatives for F Marry Kill (2024): For a Rated R movie, the movie isn't that raunchy and there is barely any gore being shown on screen. The mystery aspect of the movie was very dull and there are too many red hearings. The movie goes for multiple plot twists and it wasn't executed very well. And finally, the resolution to this movie wasn't very satisfying.
Overall, F Marry Kill (2024) is a pretty mediocre attempt at a comedy mystery thriller, but I would recommend it if you need some background noise. I.

F***, Marry, Kill is watchable but don't expect to be mesmerized by it. I liked the fast pace of it so you never get the feeling of getting bored but sometimes the story felt like an episode of one of those television comedy series that have been airing like forever. The acting was decent, the mystery was okay until the second part of the movie where it became obvious who the killer was, well at least to me so I wasn't surprised by the revealing of the culprit. As for the comedy it was just a bit bland, nothing hilarious. All in all it's worth a watch but I won't remember anything about it in a couple days.
Director Laura Murphy offers us a romantic comedy with thriller overtones that is quite acceptable, thanks to the charisma of its protagonists who fit perfectly into a fun script.
Starring Lucy Hale, Virginia Gardner and Brooke Nevin in a comedy that offers us a purely female project that is quite enjoyable because it has an entertaining story to tell and that takes great advantage of the versatility of its protagonists, especially Lucy Hale, who carries on her shoulders all the high moments of the film.
It has a couple of games with interesting secondary characters and awkward situations that are funny and that allows us to never have a point of disconnection with the story, even though at times it loses a bit of the initial force that it brings.
It's a slightly fun ride in terms of its various situations, but it will always be far from consolidating itself as one of the great comedies that came to us in 2024. It has good direction behind it and a successful cast that make the most of the high points of its script, but they also fall when the film gets tangled up in its own path of being able to identify well where it wants to take its entire premise, but it must be granted that they handle its final twist well although one could smell that it was coming.
It works for those who enjoy simple, feminist comedies with appealing cast elements. If you're looking for something more sophisticated, this film won't take you too far out of your comfort zone, but it ends up being enjoyable nonetheless.

Okay, the premise sounds really bleh on paper though it's Lucy Hale, Virginia Gardner, and the rest of the cast making it all work to some extent. It's kinda like Scream with online dating at its forefront, but the horror/gore element is dumbed down so much, especially for an R-rated movie. For me, the film works when it's a nice little raunchy comedy with a central mystery; however, it falls flat as a horror film. Even when the writing throws in way too many red herrings, the final reveal somehow was refreshingly twisted. I think I enjoyed it more than expected, owing to its characters all being millennials for a change, as opposed to Gen Zs, which is generally the case (I'm looking at you Time Cut). It handles the "being single in your 30s" bit rather enjoyably, with reasonably funny banter.

- TriviaNot only did Jedidiah Goodacre star in Marry F*** Kill (2023), a horror film with a nearly identical title, but he also played one of the trio of the men trying to secure a date with the main character, with one of them being a serial killer, in El asesino del juego de citas (2023), just like in this film.
- ErroresAs Norman is leaving Eva's apartment after their first meeting he says, "close the door behind you" instead of "behind me".
