Trivia
The title "The Locked Room" was suggested by Jai Blair. It's in reference to the sub genre of mysteries that usually involves a crime scene where no intruder could have entered or left. The writer/director Joel Nelson loved the idea based on time and financial constraints. And so the story was written around the idea that the story had to stay inside that one room.

Errores
Dick Gillis reveals that he knows Jane's surname by marriage. However when she exclaims, "My husband," he replies with, "Your what?" Because of production time constraints a gag/joke was removed relating to the Abraham Lincoln picture on the wall that suggested Dick thought the man he had captured was Abraham Lincoln.
