I enjoy found footage type of movies. When done right, they can really be chilling and it's a horror that hits different because it doesn't look staged. But this.. the people are just bad. The Rapunzel one was creepy but only because the girl with black hair just had a creepy look to her face in the light that was unsettling to see. But besides that, this just looks like a bad school play...

It says I need to have more to the review so I'll add this. When I first heard of the movie, I thought it would be like VHS. I enjoyed VHS because it was creepy and did freak me out with the stories. But Evil Tapes just seems to be about people who have mental problems but the actors are bad at acting.

Didn't know it was possible to make a horror movie with a 12-cent budget and a security camera! The actors? They look like they were picked from a hospital waiting room. The dialogues? Probably written during a coffee break, with zero creativity. The editing... my God, even my 6-year-old cousin could've done better with PowerPoint! The storylines are all over the place, and there is absolutely no connection between them.

This movie is so bad that it almost becomes a comedy.

If you want to laugh instead of scream, go ahead - but don't forget the popcorn, it's the best part of the experienc....
