The dust has settled on the “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 9 finale, with Angeria Paris VanMicheals claiming victory after earning the most Beautiful Benefactress Badges (six) throughout the competition and winning the final lip sync. Her co-runners-up were Roxxxy Andrews and Vanessa Vanjie, who tied at five Badges apiece but ultimately lost the lip sync to Angeria. Prior to the finale streaming on July 26, 2024 on Paramount Plus, Gold Derby asked fans to vote in our poll for who they wanted to win the show, and Roxxxy came out on top with leading 37%. “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” kicked off its 9th season on Friday, May 17 with the first two episodes featuring returning queens from seasons past. Making their way back into the Werk Room for the second time are Angeria Paris VanMichaels (season 14), Gottmik (season 13), Jorgeous (season 14), Nina West (season 11), and Plastique Tiara (season 11). Three queens are returning for the third time: Roxxxy Andrews (season 5 and All Stars 2), Shannel (season 1 and All Stars 1), and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (seasons 10 and 11).

In addition to their chance at the coveted crown, this season the queens are competing to have a $200,000 contribution, provided by The Palette Fund, to a charity of their choice. Series judges RuPaul Charles and Michelle Visage will be joined on the dais by friends and series regulars Carson Kressley, Ts Madison, and Ross Mathews as well as a rotating cast of guest judges to help determine episodic winners and their choice for “next drag superstar.

All Stars season 9 is revamping with a $200,000 charity prize for queens, a change from previous seasons. The new season aims to redeem after a lackluster All Stars 8, offering a non-elimination format for queens. Competitors were enticed with a $50,000 appearance bonus and a $25,000 stipend for fashions on the show.

RuPauls Drag Race All Stars is back for its ninth season, and eight queens are competing for a $200,000 prize for the charity of their choice. Each year, RuPaul Charles invites a slate of legendary drag queens who have previously competed on RuPauls Drag Race to compete for another chance at the crown. Rpdr All Stars season 1 premiered in 2012 and fell flat. However, the franchise took another shot at the spin-off four years later, in 2016, and struck gold. Rpdr All Stars season 2 is regarded as one of the most popular seasons of Drag Race yet.

Paramount+ and World of Wonder have officially announced the Season 9 cast of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” which will consist of eight alumni of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stretching from its first season to Season 14. It’s the first season of “All Stars” — other than the all-winners seventh season — to feature just eight queens.

They will be competing for a $200,000 grand prize, but for the first time in “Drag Race” herstory, the money will be donated to the charity of the winner’s choosing. The prize is supplied through The Palette Fund, a private foundation “dedicated to breaking down barriers and advancing social change in communities that are under-resourced and facing significant challenges,” according to an official release.

Turkish producer Onur Güvenatam founded Ogm Pictures in 2019, and has since shepherded a steady stream of hit series and movies such as drama “The Red Room,” the widely-sold “Golden Boy” and “One Way for Tomorrow,” the first Netflix original film out of Turkey.

For Netflix, Ogm has also made Turkish original film “Paper Lives” and the series “The Gift.” Güvenatam is at Mipcom with new shows “Stickman” (Çöp Adam), “Miracle of Love” (Yüz Yıllık Mucize), and “Broken Destiny,” (Toprak ile Fidan) being sold by his recently launched in-house sales company Ogm Universe.

He spoke to Variety about the secret to Ogm’s success, and vented frustrations about the business model imposed by U.S. streamers.
