Person, Place, or Thing is a game you play when you are trapped in the car for hours on end in the hottest part of the summer with your irritated parents and your crotchety siblings who want to be in the exact spot you are occupying because it's on the shady side of the car. It's 20 Questions, people. It's not a show to present on TV. It's a questionably talented host giving vague clues to a trio of trapped contestants who can only escape if they lose. I saw an episode where the champion had won three times and was desperately trying to leave. She was rescued by this hapless guy who realized, too late, that he had been trapped.
Don't waste your time, but if you happen across an episode, make sure your curtains are pulled down, all of your doors and windows are locked, and, preferably, that no one is home in your neighborhood.

I'm old and picky and also love 25 Words or Less. When I saw Melissa Peterman's new hairdo on 25 Words, I wondered ... (Viera, the host, made a comment and I chose not to believe MP's comment about why it was like that). Then I saw the new show.
It's well done. It seems odd that scores aren't kept on display but it doesn't bother me.
Jamie is a hoot. Melissa is quick-witted (as is Jamie :) ). I play along with it. It's funny, well done, some jokes are over my head (so what). But why do winners only get $5k on this show - it's fox entertainment and I don't think they've been hit with any political lawsuits) so why the drop in dough?

Love the show and love Melissa , but the announcer has got to go. His sense of humor and comments are just awful. It's like, is that supposed to be funny? It would be much better if he would just read what they won. He just doesn't make any sense. Sorry I feel that way. Does anyone else think he's not funny? If you do please let me know. I have been watching this show from the first episode. I really like Melissa as the host and she probably can do the announcing also. I don't know if he makes it up as he goes along or if someone tells him what to say, but most of the time it doesn't make any sense.
I do know that this show is no longer in production so don't worry about me. I love game shows that are easy to do.
The host is great but her clothes are sometimes not very flattering to her shape. Dresses especially. She tall and very lovely.
One problem is the winners on the show. They should have a length of time they can reappear on the show. A cap of five consecutive shows. Home viewers get bored seeing the same face all the time. Makes the show stale. A good turn over of contestants would be fun.
Contestants who show no pride in their appearance should not be on the show. Slovenly is not what one wants to watch.
TV needs more clean, fun game shows. With hosts that act proper on a show shown during the family hour.

Melissa Peterman is very enjoyable as a host -- she just seems like the kind of person you'd like to hang around with... laid-back and funny, and when she chats with contestants to get to know them, you get the feeling that she's not just putting on the act because she's a game show host. I would definitely not call her a typical game show host, but what she does is, in my opinion, a perfect fit for this show. The interactions between her and the announcer are also often quite humorous.
As for the gameplay, I find it quite fun to play along with, and occasionally laugh along with when the contestants ask dumb questions or give dumb answers.
Not that I dislike trivia type shows, but there are so many of that type right now, so this is a nice change of pace from that. And it's also a good daytime show without the typical bombastic, high-energy hosts and music and wild audiences -- which, again, have their place, but which can be exhausting.
I'm hoping Person Place or Thing has a long run.
