Just watched this with my movie theatre-working friend. We both enjoyed this comedy about three women getting revenge on one man. There's his wife (Leslie Mann), his paramour (Cameron Diaz) who ends it after finding out about that wife, and the younger paramour (Kate Upton) who finds out from the previous two. Quite hilarious we both found this and nice team-up on those three. Oh, and Don Johnson appears as the father of one of those three. When his name appeared on screen, my friend says he didn't know he was in it which then made me mention that "Miami Vice" was nearly 30 years ago (though neither of us watched it much since "Dallas" was on at the same time) which then reminded us of our age especially when I then pointed out to him the placement of a couple of songs from that era as well when they were played (A cover version of Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield" and Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun"). Anyway, in summary, we both found The Other Woman a lot of fun.
Honestly, this was fine for what it was advertised as: a fun romp just for laughs. If you're looking for something that will awe you with its awesome-ness, you're looking for the wrong movie.
I've read a lot of the negative reviews. Yes, the man is a POS and quite frankly not very fleshed out other than the fact that he's a terrible guy. Diaz was a little unappealing as the bitch lawyer and perhaps Kate Upton's acting does leave something to be desired. But honestly, no matter what the poster or some of the movie might suggest, this movie seems to me like it centered around Mann's character finding her way after everything in her life goes to hell. And for that, I think it did fine.

This film was chosen by someone else. I went along for the ride, not expecting much, as I am not a big Cameron Diaz fan. But, I have to say, that I laughed as loud as anyone else in the movie theater. It was so funny, and entertaining. Sure, there were moments when you thought - hey this doesn't make any sense, but if you park reality at the door, and just sit and enjoy the hilarity of the situation and the characters, it was pretty entertaining. I left the theater satisfied that my movie dollars were well spent for a couple of hours of diversion from life's troubles. I reckon that this film will not win many awards, but I enjoyed it more than Bridesmaids. So, if you are looking for a great chick flick, this is a good one.
This is exactly what it advertises itself to be. At least that was refreshing. It's completely mindless and almost every single character is either extremely shallow or irritating and often both.
As badly as this is written, somehow Leslie Mann makes it work for her character. She manages to make the viewer actually care about her somehow. She simply puts it all on the table and her boldness mixed with her charm manages to rise above awful material. The rest of the cast is, frankly, terrible. The cheating husband is such a dumb cartoon character. Cameron Diaz has grown genuinely unpalatable. Kate Upton tried her gorgeous best but it's clear even the director had to try and cut around her acting shortcomings. I smell a few Razzie nominations for this mess.

This movie has become a comfort film for me. The chemistry between the three leads and Leslie Man's acting was perfect. Though it had me cringing sometimes, the comedy was almost always spot on. Nikolai Coster-Waldau played the perfect manipulative cheater and was perfect for the role of Mark, he does one of the best jobs in the movie. Though I would recommend this movie, I wouldn't recommend it to families watching it together. This film although good, it's has its ups and downs. Don Johnson's performance as Frank was not great. I didn't feel that Frank cared enough for his sister, especially when he was told everything. Nicki Minsk's performance as Lydia was also not the best, but she did a fine enough job.

- ErroresAlmost every time a character is on the phone, they aren't really on a "phone call". It either shows the iPhone's lock screen or home screen.
- Créditos curiososThe making and authorized distribution of this film supported over 13,000 jobs and involved hundreds of thousands of work hours.
- Versiones alternativasThe US version is censored and replaces the word 'fuck'/'fucking' with 'frig'/'frigging'. European releases feature the original dialogue.
