The much-awaited film of Superstar Rajinikanth, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, has been creating a lot of buzz ever since it was announced. The film, which is directed by Tj Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, has a stellar star cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan. The film is said to be a message-oriented commercial entertainer with Rajinikanth playing a retired police officer who gets involved in a fake encounter case.

Now, the makers have revealed the technical crew of the film, which consists of some of the best talents in the industry. The first part revolved around the lives of close friends and their challenges and was set in Rajapalayam. The film went on the floors early this year and will be out at the theatres soon. Having realised his strength quite early on in his career, Sasikumar once again chooses a film that exploits rural settings to the fullest. And every time he has used the rural backdrop, his films have reaped gold at the box office, including his last film "Sundarapandian". "Kutti Puli" may likely follow the trend, but I highly doubt if it will leave a similar impact a la "Subramaniapuram" or "Nadodigal".
