RPM: Quatro Coiotes

A rare case of a noted filmmaker actually directing a music video in Brazil and one produced by "Fantástico", this one by RPM has Sérgio Rezende ("O Homem da Capa Preta", "Guerra de Canudos") directing the boys while performing the song "Quatro Coiotes". I wonder why they gave such an empty and soulless thing to film, I mean, nothing happens here, the few interesting bits aren't so rewarding and the song is so damn hard to decipher. Some nights scenes, some nice sounds from the instrumental parts interrupted by lead singer Paulo Ricardo at times singing his usual full mode (which makes him one of the greatest rock voices in Brazil) and other times slightly gloomy.

Of the "Fantástico" series of videos I've seen (so few, but I'm trying to find the most I can these days) this one is the weakest by far and remember that they didn't prime for excellency, quality material would only come in the late 1990's with the heavy approach by MTV Brazil.

The images aren't so good, the song is awkward, and only a handful of moment are worthy of view. Overall, it's quite forgettable. 5/10.
