Spellbound

I hardly know where to begin, but since it involves acting, lets start there.

The lead actress just seems lost in this role. The acting is - in a word - poor. And unfortunately, this applies to the entire cast, which is a bad thing in a series. It almost feels like this is everyone's first acting job. The series as a whole is simply another teen-driven series, but without the finesse one could hope.

The location is Paris, and yet no one actually speaks French - including the director of the ballet school. How is this even remotely realistic?

I'm sure the demographic is vastly younger than me, but that is not a deterrent (Harry Potter was also not my demographic, and i loved the films). To like this, one has to overlook the poor acting, the plot and the premise of the film, which is held in the title. I can see someone giving this a 6, but the 10s are, I think, optimistic. As is this entire series with its implausible, giggling cast.

Spellbound is a delightful kid/teen show that combines magic, romance, and dance in a charming way. The story follows Cece, whose dream is to become a great dancer. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers she has magical powers. The show explores her journey as she tries to balance her rigorous dance training with mastering her newfound magic.

With cute magic moments, vibrant dance sequences, and a romantic subplot (Cece seems to fall for a new guy every episode), the show is light and fun. While the acting is OK, the overall charm of the story makes it enjoyable. If you liked Just Add Magic, you'll love Spellbound. It's the perfect pick for fans of teen shows looking for something whimsical and entertaining.

Spellbound is a great mix of magic and dance: there's a nice pace to the story and some suspense. Cece is funny and cute, and the other cast members are great (and there's Armando Castillo from Find in Me in Paris!!). The locations look amazing: Paris, the Opera Garnier and the witch shop (I want to buy everything!). The ballet is of great quality, the Macbeth show looks like a real showcase (I would definitively go see this on stage), with fantastic costumes. I think the girls will enjoy it, but it's cool to see a ballet show with boys in it as well. Looking forward to watching more episodes.

Both my kids were avid Find me in Paris fans, and we're so looking forward to Spellbound from the moment they heard about it. We all watched the first 3 episodes together and Wow, it didn't disappoint. All of us laughed so much watching it, the writing and cast are so good. As a parent of two teenage kids it's so nice to be able to watch an entertaining show together and forget the outside world for a while. 10 out of 10 , can't fault it.

A lovely cast of kids , who make you laugh along with them and inspiring locations. Love the Paris Opera house and the aunts apothecary shop. The dancing is fabulous!! Would love more of it.
