trash

I am forced to watch this one while my MIL runs it on full blast. how do you accept the divorced woman staying in the house with her ex and his new wife? the damn guy has a third wife. it goes on and on with some idiotic theme where the old lady (albiet a good actress) has great teenage grandchildren and is still unchanged....i cannot believe the bunch of idiots who can watch this trash for years and years. Absolutely bad script. It started with some substance but then went into a cesspool. How can people watch this crappy soap. Waiting for the day when this folds up. How non creative these writers are i cannot imagine.

A Disturbing and Morally Reprehensible Film

Child Bride is a film that can only be described as deeply troubling and morally reprehensible. It delves into disturbing subject matter and presents a narrative that glorifies and normalizes child marriage, making it an uncomfortable and unsettling viewing experience.

One of the most significant issues with Child Bride is its portrayal of underage marriage. The film romanticizes and justifies this abhorrent practice, presenting it as a viable and acceptable choice. This irresponsible portrayal perpetuates harmful and dangerous ideas, ignoring the serious consequences and long-lasting trauma associated with child marriage. It is deeply unsettling to witness a film that fails to acknowledge the inherent ethical and legal concerns surrounding such practices.

The production values of Child Bride are lackluster, further adding to its questionable nature. The cinematography, editing, and overall technical execution of the film are subpar, making it difficult to engage with the story or characters. The poor quality of the production further detracts from any potential merits the film could have had, leaving it devoid of artistic value.

The characters in Child Bride lack depth and are reduced to shallow stereotypes. The young girls depicted in the film are presented as passive and submissive, perpetuating harmful gender norms and perpetrating the notion that girls should be married off at a young age. This lack of character development undermines any potential for empathy or emotional investment in the story.

Child Bride also fails to offer any meaningful or thought-provoking narrative. The story unfolds in a predictable and simplistic manner, lacking any semblance of nuance or depth. It fails to address the complex social and cultural factors surrounding child marriage, instead opting for a superficial and ill-conceived storyline that does a disservice to the gravity of the subject matter.

In conclusion, Child Bride is a disturbing and morally reprehensible film that glorifies and normalizes child marriage. Its lackluster production values, shallow characters, and simplistic narrative fail to provide any meaningful exploration of the deeply concerning issue it tackles. It is a prime example of a film that should be condemned rather than praised, as it perpetuates harmful ideas and disregards the well-being and rights of young girls.

A brave attempt that made this an iconic show

Balika Vadhu was probably the first show on Indian television that broke away from the traditional saas-bahu stories and focused on a real social issue. A brilliant star cast helped this show become the longest running show at the time and the show also helped catapult them to super-stardom.

Avika Gor, Avinash Mukherjee, Anup Soni, Smita Bansal, Pratyusha Banerjee, Sidharth Shukla, Shashank Vyas, Neha Marda, Satyajit Sharma, Amar Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Veebha Anand and most importantly Surekha Sikri play their parts to perfection!

I grew up watching this show and even though they really dragged it towards the end, I was teary eyed when the show ended. It was truly the end of an era.

The love the show has received really shows given the fact that even the re-runs are topping the TRP charts. Balika Vadhu will definitely be written down in history.

Is Anandi actually telling the truth?

In the witness box, Anandi tells the court that Jagdish's attitude towards women is impeccable!!!!!!!!!! This from a woman who has been treated so shabbily as a wife does not ring true AT ALL. She should have been more sincere about her past experience with Jagdish. Her statement was in poor taste and not fair to Shiv who saw her through her bad times with Jagdish. The write up at the end of the episode praising Anandi for her truthfulness is rather misleading. Granted Jagdish is making an effort to change, but he still has to go a long way to prove himself. Just by treating a few sick patients will not wipe away his behavior in the past - it is the duty of every doctor to do so!

nice

one of many Indian soap opera.far to be real original. same recipes, same acting, same clichés. the good thing is the work to reflect the great social problems. not original but useful for sensibler about the child brides, about moral values, about tradition and about family rules. sure, nothing profound but enough for be little more than a sentimental movie. and that fact is a good point. for understand a side of India, for crumbs of nice performances, for the stereotypes and for the desire to be different. the humor and the drama, in precise proportions, are not bad ingredients for a story in many parts confused.

surviving

a series who reminds the work of Penelope expecting Ulyses. story by story by story. united by small moral lessons. great themes, huge dramas, unrealistic situations and the characters in the skin of eternal youth. at its end, the start remains more confuse by the first episode. sure, noble, good intentions. crumbs of Indian civilization . and the grandmother as pillar of family and interest. but the story of poor Anandi remains strange and confuse. like the evolution of her daughter. and the only question about this series, with a so precise target, remains the obscure desire to give a kind of American soap opera without any coherence. it is strange to say if it is a good or a bad series because, after a long time , it becomes familiar. not interesting or seductive but, like an easy novel, familiar. so, a surviving series. about tradition, family and more small details.

Best Hindi TV Serial Ever for all age groups

Balika Vadhu is not just a television serial-it's an emotion, a revolution, and a beautifully woven narrative that changed the landscape of Indian TV forever. From its very first episode, the show gripped audiences with its bold storytelling, exceptional performances, and a heart-touching portrayal of a sensitive social issue-child marriage.

The characters, especially Anandi, are etched into the hearts of viewers. Her journey from a naive young girl to a strong, educated woman is portrayed with such depth and realism that it becomes impossible not to connect with her. The performances by Avika Gor, Surekha Sikri, and later Toral Rasputra and Siddharth Shukla, are simply phenomenal. Each actor brought soul and authenticity to their roles.

What sets Balika Vadhu apart is its courage to address taboo topics with empathy and responsibility. It educates while entertaining, never losing its emotional core. The show's writers deserve praise for keeping the story grounded, powerful, and relevant through hundreds of episodes.

The background score, cinematography, and cultural richness make it a visually and emotionally enriching experience. Despite being a long-running show, it never lost its essence-a rare achievement in the world of daily soaps.

In short, Balika Vadhu is a landmark show that will be remembered for generations. It taught us, moved us, and inspired a much-needed conversation in society.

A must-watch for anyone who appreciates meaningful storytelling and stellar performances.
