I was seriously expecting this show to be a major let down but thought I'd give it a shot and am seriously glad I did.
I was a serious fan of the movie and the series does not disappoint. Except for Tallahassee, but thats because Woddy Harrelson pretty much made the character seriously awesome and this guy plays it more of a Will Ferrell/John C. Reilly style. But I guess, give it time and I might warm to the character. Rest of the cast is pretty good, each play their part well and are very close to the originals. But enough comparison to the movie cast.
Acting and story is pretty solid and looks like they could do a lot with it so really hoping there's more.
Love the Zombie Kill of the Week theme, will love to see what they can do with that.

This series seems to have a lot of potential in my opinion, I think the majority is being too rough on the series. After seeing the pilot I personally wanted more. I thought the acting was fair - not good, nor bad. And the story HAS a lot of potential. I read from other reviews that they despise the idea of the same characters but different actors, this may have some truth in it. Nonetheless the characters are characters and it's just a matter of 'not wanting it to change' that makes the shift so unbearable to people. I want to see more, because the show is more about the laugh than the zombies, which I enjoy. And because I love the humor in the movies (AND THIS SERIES). So personally I really do hope this show will be aired soon so I can get some more awesome zombiekilling on my retinal!

I missed this whole thing with the pilot and the voting and the this and the that, and now the whole project is scrapped. But that will not stop me from reviewing it! Nevar!
OK. So, I enjoyed this. The first minutes are absolutely perfect. Sort of clever. Then it goes a little downhill, not a steep hill though.
The main problem I think people had with this is that these actors are playing the characters from the movie. That was a mistake. I actually didn't realize it until the at the end, haha. Now, I'm not sure if it would be better to have new characters, but it probably would.
The violence is great. There's swearing, which always elevates things. The actors are alright. Yeah it's kind of clichéd here and there, but I think this would have made an entertaining show had it been green-lit. But we will never know now, will we!? Probably not.
The guy playing Woody Harrelsons character is sort of funny. Not my favorite cup of tea, but he did alright. The rest ain't much to say about, really.
As a TV-short this is enjoyable.'
I feel sort of sorry for the actors involved, they were probably real happy to land this part, and then the whole thing just falls apart. Hang in there, folks!

Zombieland the series have they gone to far? in my opinion the series will be too much like the film but will never be as good because they face a big problem because they don't have the chemistry that Emma stone, woody harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg have in the film, which contributed to the film massively. Another problem is that one of the main protagonists in the film Tallahassee (Woody harrelson) who stood out for his sheer love and talent at killing zombies, who also was an ionic figure in zombie-land will never be lived up to by anyone else.
Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock more or less feel like the same characters that were introduced to us in the movie and are okay, but Tallahassee however feels completely different. Maybe it was Woody's charm and his natural bad ass attitude that makes the film so good, but this Tallahassee seems more like a joker than the film's version.
Overall the they manage to keep a similar feel to the series and make the 30 minute episode quite funny and comical. However when watching try to watch it as a series and don't make comparisons to the movie and try and focus in on the episode and it becomes quite enjoyable to watch and could be a success.

First of all, I would like to say that before taking the time to write a review, I first read a few that were written by others. It seems that the common consensus among the other people who wrote reviews was that the show sucked because it didn't have the all-star cast that the film had. I also liked the original cast (especially Harrelson), but obviously they didn't have the option of retaining those elite actors.
All in all, the actors that they use for the show do a pretty good job with it. The guy that plays Tallahassee is almost as good as Harrelson. The girl that plays Wichita may be even better than Emma Stone was in the film. The only real downfall in the cast was that the kid who plays Columbus doesn't have that quirky greatness that we come to expect from Eisenberg, but he still isn't bad.
The show is pretty entertaining, and the dialog is absolutely hilarious. Sure the movie may have been better, but overall I'd give the pilot an 8 out of 10. I personally cant wait for more episodes!
