Hunt Her, Kill Her (AKA Night Shift)
Very low-budget 'cat(s) 'n' mouse' survival thriller. Karen (Natalie Terrazzino), a recently separated/divorced mother of one, takes a job as the sole night shift janitor at a large factory. On her first night she's confronted by four knife-wielding, masked intruders, whose sole aim is to kill her. Cue one hour and 20 minutes of the most ridiculously unbelievable 'female John McClane' running, hiding, and fighting.
By the time this was made movies were well into the 'cast a non-conventionally attractive female lead' era - we weren't going to get a Milla Jovovich-type. Thing is, Jovovich (just as an example), as well as being attractive, sells the action. She looks credible running and fighting. I get that 'Karen' isn't a trained warrior, she's just an average single-mom trying to make ends meet, and I get that that could be an interesting story to tell - but if that's what you're going for you have to adjust her methods and onscreen abilities accordingly; otherwise it just becomes laughable. We have a short, dumpy, completely non-athletic woman regularly outsprinting guys who look a foot taller with a stride to match. In one shot we'll see them rapidly closing on her (because the actress clearly cannot run) - then they'll all turn a corner and from the new angle we see they're way behind her again! 😄 The only times they catch-up is when there's a convenient small space for her to slip through at the last moment! I get suspension of disbelief - but at least cast an actress who looks like she jogs once in a while! As for the fighting... Again, 6'2" dudes with *very* nasty looking knives, vs mom-with-a-belly and cleaning products! We all know that most fights in movies are completely unrealistic;. If Statham/Stallone/Van Damme were really trapped in a room with a bunch of guys who were all fellow special forces badasses they'd be dead meat - but at least they manage to make it look believable. There's one fight in this movie involving a toilet plunger that looks like something from an Austin Powers movie! Add in several injuries involving heavy blood loss and bone breakage that 30 seconds later don't seem to have impeded her ability to run/fight at all, a 'twist' re the perpetrators that's obvious from about 15 minutes in (and that you've probably guessed already), poor acting all round, and ludicrous dialogue ('Don't let her escape!' - has *anyone* chasing anyone *ever* actually shouted that? 😄), and you get a very poor movie. I'll give it credit for some good effects on the injury detail, a cool synth score, and a nice title. 4/10.

Started of ok, I thought it was interesting setup. Then there was some boring "weak woman in distress" nonsense as usually, big scary man chasing her around, finding her no matter where (i guess they always have some 6th senses huh?) Finally some action, gore and then...puff, what a f was the ending!? I stared at my screen in disbelief and sighed. Why!? I'm so sick of these movies where it starts to look like the woman could be the strong heroine, then they throw in tears and submission. I started writing this at the very moment as I was struggling last minutes waiting for the movie to end.
I was generous for giving 3 stars. Really hoped more from this.

The protagonist isn't set up to be likable. The characters around her are awful people, but that doesn't translate to her being someone we care about. Very little character development and then she's thrown into a never-ending chase scene. Also the twist and villain's motivations were obvious from the first 10 minutes of the movie.
Another review mentions the only other person in the theater with them was on their phone the whole movie, and I would wager it was because they were bored. Good movies make me forget about time but I checked my watch a bunch during this one.
This paragraph is just to make my review long enough for the new six hundred character requirement instituted because Amazon's $1Billion snow ranked and got bombed on this site. Hopefully they change it back because this is a waste of my and everyone else's time for quite literally seemingly absolutely no reason. Boom six hundred characters.

I found this movie on Tubi. Compared to many of the movies that they have, this one is good. The plot is simple, but there are some thrilling moments. The movie does a good job with the gore. The main actress was OK
Some scenes, though, require suspension of belief. The main character gets injured several times, yet just a few minutes later, the movie basically ignores those injuries as if it never happened, making her appear 100% healthy. We also get eye-rolling scenes where a small woman handles some 200 pound grown men
But the main issue with the film, is repetitiveness. The hunting / chasing scenes make up the bulk of the film, as you'd expect. But after a while, it really felt like we going over the same ground repeatedly.

Hunter Her Kill Her (2022) is a movie that I caught in theatres tonight. The storyline follows a new evening cleaner at a factory. Her first night quickly becomes eventful when 4-5 men with masks show up and immediately try to kill her. She will do her best to survive while trying to determine why they're trying to kill her.
This movie is codirected by Greg Swanson and Ryan Thiessen, who also worked together on Five Across the Eyes, and stars Natalie Terrazzino (The Last Movie Star), JC Oakley III (The Hate You Give) and Georgia Kate Haege (Hectic Knife).
This movie has a made for television feel in terms of cinematography, writing, acting and dialogue. This movie will give you a glimpse into the worst babysitter ever, worst bandage job ever and the worst killers ever. There's so many sloppy sequences in this that leave you scratching your head. And when did the main character become MacGyver? I will say the sound effects the killer make while they're walking around are hilarious. The jump scares are pretty average outside of one or two. I will say the end is worth watching. The final fight is insane and there's a good hammer 🔨 scene.
Overall, this movie is bad but horror enthusiasts should watch it once. I would score this a 3/10.
