Us or Them

Well you know how the saying goes - so no pun intended. The movie starts with a different pair for us ... and quite the visuals! If you have issues with blood and violence - seeing it on screen ... well this movie probably is not for you. The beginning lets us know what is going on - what will happen with our main characters later on.

So we do know what is happening. The two main characters seem a bit reluctant (well one more than the other) to play ... well the game, but in the end, we know they will take part in it. What would you do? And who can you trust? How realistic is it then? Well ... I will leave that up to you ... it is quite suspenseful and if you dig it, you'll have a "grand time"

I highly enjoyed this movie! The tension and suspense were off the charts! Has the shock value the Saw franchise, and Squid Games are known for. Not too original, but still a fresh enough concept to keep you guessing. I really enjoyed the psychological dimensions used and the slight unpredictability and suprised when you think you know their next move! Don't expect the best of the best in prosthetic makeup, or super refined dialog, but this is a FUN movie, which I did not expect to enjoy this much! The stakes keep getting higher and higher, and the insane tension is well done. Without all that, it'd be a much lower rating by itself, as the movie itself isn't much in quality and acting, but the game itself makes up for it.

"Us or them" may not have set the cinematic world on fire, but it managed to deliver a decent viewing experience. The film centers around a deadly game where participants must agree to earn money, facing dire consequences if they disagree. While the premise had potential, the execution was somewhat lacking.

The storyline, though intriguing, suffered from pacing issues that left us wanting more depth in character development and plot exploration. However, the tension and suspense created by the life-and-death decisions kept us engaged throughout.

Despite its shortcomings, "Us or Them" managed to maintain a level of intrigue and suspense, which made it worth watching. Wow. This was a really good movie- lots of suspense, plot twists and turns. The ending was a huge surprise. A little gory, but nothing too terrible compared to other movies that I've sat through. This was rated pretty low on IMDB so my expectations weren't set too high. Just don't read the synopsis of "Us And Them" and think this is a romance like I did. Many years ago I saw a movie with my then girlfriend (now wife) and expected the lead character to get injected with poison, but I was thinking of the wrong movie. This is well worth the watch!! As my college buddy Kurt used to say- "You'll laugh, you'll cry, it will become a part of you."
