Real piece of art

This short film is incredible. It has all the human emotions we all experience.

The film itself is short but the acting and directing was really well done. It freaked me out, it moved me, it made me think of sanity/insanity, how we might be all caged animals. Congratulations to the crew of this film, it really is a great work.

Caged animals show the truth about us, how the character is so human in his expressions, emotions. It reminded me of theater the way the character displays his emotions. Incredibly done.

This is why movies are made.

Nothing Like It

Caged Animals takes its audience into a fantasy realm that has not been done as emotionally gripping and psychologically probing before.

Who hasn't felt penned-in during the course of a usual day? Which of us haven't been able to tell the difference between animals in a cage and the two-legged ones walking past us on the street? At the very least can't we relate to battling the constant beast within?

And that is exactly what Mr. Bernotas has us confront as we watch his character trying to get through his morning, but struggles with tormenting voices and sounds from deep inside.

If capturing the unclear bounds of what is real was the object of director Marcelo Bendotti then he nailed it. The script, editing and performance takes its viewer to a place where reality can't stay.
