Ok, so I just watched this sorta kinda strange movie on tubi called Fattenin frogs for snakes.

It is set back in the 40s era of the deep south. The film is slightly film noir, and can be dark literally & figuratively. It definitely is on the occult side & I may have jumped once or twice! Im not telling! You will have to watch the movie for yourself!

It's a slow start & the acting isn't 5 star but I'd give it a solid 3.5.

The star, Hunter Thore, is the brother of Whitney Way Thore from the reality show, My Big Fat Fabulous Life. That is how I found out about this movie!

If any of my description appeals to you, give it a watch. The 2nd half really picks up when the story unfolds.

Fattenin Frogs for snakes delivers eerie tension and Southern gothic mystery. Hunter Thore shines as an escaped convict seeking refuge on a farm hiding dark secrets. With moody cinematography which is one of the film's strongest elements, painting the rural setting with a mix of beauty and menace. It isn't a conventional action packed thriller, it thrives on psychological unease and moral ambiguity. It's a film about survival, both in the literal sense for Jacob and in the spiritual sense for those trapped by their own past decisions. It's a slow but gripping watch which lingers long after the credits roll, making you question just who, in the end, was truly the predator and who was the prey.
