I don't know where to start with the plot... it's very unrealistic. The protagonist gets put in jail for doing flat-ground tricks at some public plaza spot and fleeing from cops (over said ''illicit'' riding). It's almost like the person who wrote the movie never watched BMX videos like ''Little Devil - Criminal Mischief'' or ''FBM- Albert Street''. The stuff this protagonist gets in trouble for is small fries compared to stuff real BMX'ers do. Just to reference real life, Anthony Panza broke into Splish Splash Water Park and rode the water slides on his bike causing thousands of $$$ damage to the fiberglass and only got a week community service.
The two ''Drug Dealers'' are the most comical characters in the whole movie. They remind me of Harry and Marv from home alone, but less funny and memorable. They probably tried to make these guys menacing but the acting is so cheesy.
The whole movie lacks focus, it's all over the place. I barely understood what the drug heist at the party was about.
Steve Crandall playing a police officer near the end was fun to see.
I got all the little BMX references they put in the movie as a form of fan service. But for your average Joe this movie is a 2.5/10 at best.
BE PREPARED FOR THE CHEESE, EVERYTHING IN THIS MOVIE IS CHEESY GOOP!

Rad, was a great Bmx movie and still is. The riders of the movie Rad, pushed the sport in freestyle, they were great innovators. This new movie Accelerate, has been a very anticipated movie that people who are into this great sport, have been waiting to see. Regardless of the bike aspects: park ,dirt, street, vert, flatland or racing, this movie is going kick some butt. I see this movie with a more eloquent storyline than Rad. Not to say Rad did not have a good storyline, cause i really enjoyed it. There's nothing much else to say about this movie other than I'm really psyched to see old riders come out like Cru Jones(Bill Allen), and modern day riders like Brian Foster, Steve Crandall, Chris Doyle, Joel Moody, and others. I can't wait to go see it. You don't have to be into bikes to go see it. If you like watching extreme sports,or something that you don't see everyday, then I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
