Gripping - Breathtaking - Mindblowing

Crime Patrol is a fabulous show, bringing forward the various crime cases occurred in India. The direction of every episode is great. Most episodes have such a gripping suspense & storyline, that it is just too difficult to change the channel, unless the episode's a repeat, or not being followed from the start. And the fact that they are based on true events heightens the likeness even more. Photography and filmography is very good. Also is the editing : mostly warm, just in tune with the building intensity. Music is also very good. But the mastering isn't up to the mark : sometimes the dialogues are not so audible or distinguishable, as the background music is too loud. Though the acting of the cast members is brilliant, the later need to be increased. The cast base is too limited. The main actors repeat often, and this a let-down, as one anticipates the future actions of a particular character based on their personal view of the actor involved. I usually break up in tears during the show, watching the pitiable conditions of the victim. And the foolishness or childishness of the crime sometimes, just infuriates me further : the act of crime is too horrible. The show makes my respect grow towards the Indian Police Department. Their dedication and the intense work towards solving each case is commendable indeed. Also, the judicial system gives fair justice in most cases. But in others I feel it unable to make correct judgements (I am studying law currently). It fails to gather or use the gathered evidence to its potential. All in all, I rate the show 8/10 (very good), as it is based on true happenings, but needs to quit repetitions (of cast and episodes). Also, if it would reveal the true identity of those involved in all the episodes, it would garner more points. In the end, continue the great work team Crime Patrol. Jai Hind!

A Great show that lost its charm long ago

Crime Patrol Satark from 2011 till 2019 was not any less than those popular crime web series on ott platforms. It was based on real life cases and it had engaging screenplay, nail biting twist and turns along with brilliant hosting by Anup Soni. Viewers were able to connect with the characters. You would not feel peace until the cases were over. But now its new seasons are as similar as overrated shows like Savdhan India, Crime Alert etc. Confusing screenplay, poor story telling, average performances and every character is hawas ke pujari for no reason just like other crime shows. I wonder why they changed the format. It would have make sense if they are getting TRPs. TRPs are still awful. So I wish this show get back its old charm in near future.

Unprecedented

This series is unprecedented in the world of Indian TV.

For years, Indian TV has been riddled with poorly directed/edited/acted dramas all of which borders on the ridiculous without exception. They all feature lavish makeup/jewelry on the actors, very few of whom can emote anything of substance. Those who are talented find themselves stunted by the lack of anything worthwhile. 99% of the directors are amateurish and editors probably do not know ABC of editing.

Till Crime Patrol ...

For the first time, I find myself watching a Hindi channel ... and really looking forward to. Now even WW2 based shows and African lions hunting countless wildebeests (my perennial favorites) are relegated to the back-burner. Some of the episodes of Crime Patrol are so gripping that I do not remember watching any movies of comparable quality ... either Hollywood or Bollwood. Honest! I am not making it up.

There are crime deeds so wanton and so horrifying that I make sure no one younger than 25 gets to watch them. If I cannot stop younger folks from sitting in the same room, I flip the channel and bear with them through something fluffy. Then in my privacy, I search for those episodes on YouTube.

And did I say how thankful I am that all the episodes are present on YouTube unabridged!

This series has restored my confidence on the Indian police. The actors (esp Mr. Sanjeev Tyagi) who portray police officers in this series now look like super heroes ... nothing escapes them ... no criminal dares mess with them ... they will solve everything ... spare no wrongdoing ... avenge each victim. And occasionally they portray their human sides too (like when Mr Tyagi played an about-to-be-transferred police officer in search of a missing child).

Usually each episode depicts an independent story (sometimes in 2-3 parts) somewhere in India. Usually Maharashtra gets represented most frequently, maybe due to proximity of the crew. The names are fictionalized and some trivial events too ... but the ages/places/sequence is taken from police files and media clippings to recreate the story as truthfully as possible. And more often than not, the events are so recent that it boggles the mind. Very impressive achievement.

Suddenly a new unthinkable thing has happened in my family ... now my wife gets to scold me for being glued to TV.

Most engaging show I have seen on Indian television

I usually never watch any Indian shows because of the poor quality of acting, direction and screenplay. Crime patrol is the only show that caught my attention and never fails to entertain me with its interesting direction and realistic feel. Despite all the drama, they still manage to get the message across to the audience. It is also helping the Indian audience(rural and urban) in understanding how the police functions and investigates locally. The narration of Anup Soni is also unmatchable and heartfelt.I find the suspense part also equally good. People arguing that it is a negative show must understand that these things do happen in the real world and little dramatization never hurts anybody. All in all,one of my favorite shows to watch on TV,and the only show I watch on Indian TV.

Great show but the background music is off putting

I do love crime patrol but the recent episodes it has been really hard to focus due to the ongoing background unnecessary music.. it has become to a point you can't hear the dialogues because music is so over powering.. it's great to watch the 2025 seasons and episode are good.. however the music is just so off putting !if they just keep the music to minimum and continue with the story line it would just be so much better. Crime patrol also need anup soni back he presents the best and the show definitely is missing him.. however still great watch just PLEASE STOP THE MUSIC THANK YOU ..................!

"Crime Patrol" is not an ordinary show

"Crime Patrol" is different from all the other Hindi TV crime shows. It was called "Crime Patrol Dastak", but now we know it as "Crime Patrol Satark". It is one of the oldest TV series that base their content on real cases. It is really the only show that I watch on the TV (well, SET India uploads it on YouTube on Saturday's and Sunday's). It comes on TV at 11:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

So why is "Crime Patrol Satark" special? I think it has to do with the director's (Subramanian S. Iyer) intention. The intention or the goal of "Crime Patrol Satark" is to bring awareness to the audience and to depict not only the crime for the sake of crime, but the "whole picture". Creators try to show things that can lead to crime: carelessness, greed, infidelity, hot temper or nothing at all...And "Crime Patrol Satark" team do it in a non judgemental way which is very rare and important.

"Crime Patrol" often depicts their cases as if from police's perspective. Police work is usually exemplary and heroic which often is the only thing on the show that conflicts with reality. But who knows? We, viewers, weren't there, so we don't know. Maybe there are great police officers in India who do a great job and even if they aren't, "Crime Patrol" demonstrates an ideal, a dream and a vision of how that should be and how good would it be if it was real.

"Crime Patrol" chooses to show things in real light. There would be no artificially looking sets or actors with perfect make-up and hair (unless the story is about model or call-centre girls or people attending a wedding). Great importance is given to realism, so that the story would be communicated in the clearest and most precise way. And in crime shows, the details really matter, the characters, what they wear, how they talk, where they live, their level of education, what would the real people do in that situation, what would they have for lunch, how would they think being in those situations. Everything is consistent in "Crime Patrol" and this is really the first show that has such an amazing eye for detail.

In many episodes I've found the script and the dialogue being very intelligent, even wise, poetic. I do remember many phrases that inspired me such as this one from "The Quest of Happiness" (Season 4, Episode 349):

(Son to his poor dad): "Daddy, my shoes broke!" (Dad): "Son, don't look at the shoes and you will not know they're broken!"

It's such a wise thing to say and such a good way to think! And it's not only for the shoes, it's about everything! I remember it being one of the most memorable episodes because it was just a piece of art: dark streets, labor "chauki" (stop), "theka" (alcohol shop), angry wife frying tomatoes in a pan - it was amazing!

Another episode that I loved was "Dead Woman Comes Back Alive - Rajhkot" (Season 4, Episode 210)...It started with a blinking bulb at a tiny tea shop somewhere in the fields, when a sleepy "chay wala" (shop owner) sees the dead woman he knows at the truck seat and goes numb...Being an informer, he calls the inspector and tells him he saw a ghost of the dead woman and inspector decides to investigate...I just remember it being so thrilling to watch...

It was 4 years ago and recent episodes became even better, new actors came and many of those faces became stars and I'm sure they have many fans, although we don't even know their names! Only the main cast is being mentioned in "Crime Patrol" such as the anchor Anoop Soni (love his voice!), Sanjeev Tyagi and Nissar Khan...

I could feel some experimentation happening with camera angles in the newer episodes, camera filming the car or motorcycle mirror, the wheels etc...It is nice..

The other good thing about "Crime Patrol" is the way it doesn't show "all the ugly things", such as stabbing or rape or anything that they know we don't want to see...For example, sex would be depicted by a flying "dupatta" (scarf), stabbing would be shown by blood splashing on the wall or floor... The "very" thing would not be shown...So this creates an impression that show creator is smart, intelligent and knows about aesthetics and other delicate subtleties that sometimes can be crucial when it comes to creating moods.

I am not a big fan of mainstream films and I always wanted to see films that represent the reality and reality in India is not beautiful. There are no gorgeous streets and cities like they show in Bollywood movies. Not many people are polite and smiley and helpful. It doesn't look like a paradise, but it doesn't mean it's bad either. It has it's "specialties" and I think "The Gangs of Wasseypur" expressed that very well. I think "Crime Patrol" is like a weekly version of "The Gangs of Wasseypur" with all its "khabris" (informers) and slum streets and women in casual saris...

There is nothing else to add, I'm just happy that "Crime Patrol" is there and that I can watch it every weekend. Some people tell me that I'm a "negativity addict" and that I should watch less of "Crime Patrol", but for me it's not about the crime, it's about the story, the human relationships, the psychology and the dynamics, the things between the lines, it's the HOW and not the WHAT.

I highly recommend this show for everyone who likes time tested quality and a little bit of philosophy! (And of course - a lot of suspense!)

An excellent show in Indian television.

It is an excellent show in Indian television. Anup Soni has been doing incredible job so far. Nobody in Indian television narrates better than him. Presentation, background music, cinematography, acting all the components are very good. It shows the real problems in the society. However I feel the violence which are no far from reality shown in such a manner which makes unacceptable to many viewers. If the violence shown is edited to some extent it can be acceptable to larger number of viewers. It has brought a number of burning issues of the society. No daily soap or crime show can create such good influence. My wishes are with this show.

Good series. Highly recommend.

I have been watching Crime Patrol since 2008. Crime Patrol team not only focuses on creating awareness about crimes in India but also it aspires to help the victims of the incidents. It started in 2003. It is the longest-running reality crime television series in India and completed 14 years in the year 2017. You could watch all episodes of crime patrol since 2011 here: http://crimepatrol.co.in .

Excellent Series - Better Than Some Crime Movies

I have recently started watching the Crime Patrol TV series that airs on SONY TV back to back from 1400 to 1800 and again at 2230.

Each episode is complete, based on true crime incidents. The story is depicted in a realistic way, the characters could be anyone you know, the sets, the places are so familiar. The acting for the most part is pretty good and believable.

The presentation by Soni is good with a strong message on what to look out for and how so many crimes could have been avoided.

Though some of the scenes are graphic as they would be in reality, violence is more implied than actually shown.

The series is addictive and it is easy to stay glued to watch all 3 back to back episodes in the afternoon slot if you have nothing else to do. I am not a regular TV watcher and I can see myself getting glued to Crime Patrol. That for me is kudos to the makers of this show.

I miss you so much this show and old all creator's

For the past year, I have been yearning for the return of the Crime Patrol show and its previous cast. The sudden discontinuation of the show has left many fans, including myself, perplexed and disheartened. The lack of explanation from the show's producers regarding the abrupt closure has added to the frustration. Crime Patrol was not only a source of entertainment but also served as an important platform for raising awareness about real-life incidents and educating the public about crime and safety.

I earnestly urge the makers of the show to consider bringing it back as soon as possible. The show had a significant impact on its viewers and its sudden absence has left a void that only its return can fill. It is my hope that the makers will address the concerns of the viewers and provide clarity on the future of Crime Patrol.

Calssical show has been converted to worst class show by adding too much noise and background music, they applied Ekta Kapoor theme on this sho and made it worstest, I am stop seeing this show.

Completely different from what it used to be --- BAD DIFFERENT!

I am a frequent watcher of Crime Patrol, and as a fan of true crime, I enjoy it a lot. Or I did.

'Crime Patrol 2.0' has become a complete shadow of its former self. The old actors perfectly captured whatever role they were put in, from a suspect to a police officer, and Anup Soni was the best!

But, the new crime patrol has underwhelmed me to a great extent. The acting is artificial and the show looks overproduced, as if they were trying to make it into a movie. The cases aren't all orginal and the show goes too into the lives of the policemen. It doesn't just focus on the case. And the cases look too fake to begin with, people who are assumed to be dead are actually alive, people are refusing to listen to policewomen, et cetera.

To sum it up, it looks as if it's a parody of the old crime patrol.

Very poorly executed , directed and acted. No continuity it is taking old stories and showing them in a very haphazard way. I cannot believe Sony Tv is allowing this awful program to go on. Please bring back old show .
