What really happened is seen in the flashback-instead of Fenix shooting Letty, he shoots her car. Letty is blown away by the subsequent explosion yet survives, albeit losing her memory in the bargain.

When Shaw and his crew are attempting to board the plane, a battle ensues on top of Han's car while it is dragged in mid-air. Gisele slips from the roof and Han catches her, but she releases his hand when she sees an enemy behind Han. She sacrifices herself to save Han and shoots the enemy. Later, Han decides to go to Tokyo and, while trying to escape DK, has a car wreck, replaying his death scene from Tokyo Drift.

Just as it was handled with Fast Five, the Blu-ray disc of Furious 6 does also include a slightly extended version. Here, mostly censorship for the PG-13 rating is reversed, additional CGI blood could not be identified. This version is available in the US on Blu-ray disc only, while customers of the DVD have to be satisfied with the theatrical version. Altogether the extended version offers approximately 1 minute of additional footage.
