Amazing animation, it was like playing the game again, same voice actors (japanese voices), same music (They won Best Score and Music in the game awards in 2017). I just installed the game again just of pure nostalgic.
For those who have not played the game, it will spoil it, considering I saw scenes of the 2nd gameplay (In the game, in order to really got the full history you must replay it 4 times at least, it's different every time, trust me) I had really high expectations and I wasn't disspointed at all. I hope it will continue with this level of authenticity.
The "fan services" are for those who played the game A Must see.

Absolutely inlove with this anime. My all time favourite anime series. I really hope they decide to make more seasons for the anime even though the 2 seasons they have, complete the game story. It would be neat for the creator to come up with more and go more on the route with 2b, 9s and a2 for the ending. Create more?? Everyone loves them and the anime was a huge success for fans wanting it. I hope this is not the end and only the beginning. Fans can dream cant we? We want more nier automata 1.1a!!!
Would be cool to see the other games adapted into the anime series timelines aswell.. the story, animation, voice acting, characters are all so loveable and really brings the game to life more then could ever be. Honestly want more of the automata 1.1a. 10/10 stars for everything.

First off, I'm a huge fan of Yoko Taro, and his world. I think they have captured it well in the Anime. The name of the series is Nier Automata 1.1a, which implies som alterations from the original, and there is, but for the better.
You start of following the two androids 9s and 2b in their fight against the robot invaders. Both of the sides are fighting a proxy war, since humanity has fled to the moon and the aliens are controlling the robots. But soon the androids start to see that everything isn't what they were told...
The anime is based on a videogame. The game works beautifully as a game, but would be boring and far to slow as a series. Here we get some alterations to improve pacing, and get more depth.
This isn't your ordinary anime, it is more of Yoko Taros discussion: What is human, what defines humanity. So if you are only in it for the action, you'll definitely find some, but you will also find filosofical discussions on humanity.
If you are a fan of the game series, there is also a lot of fan service to experience.

At first, I watched this not expecting to like it as much as I did, since the concept of machine lifeforms and post-apocalyptic worlds aren't concepts that usually interest me. The first few episodes were rhythmic and follow the same pattern, so I wasn't hooked but I also (surprisingly) wasn't bored. Then, once the story starts fleshing out from episode 3 and above, I wasn't able to look back!! It's phenomenal. Highly recommend this even if apocalyptic-like scenarios aren't your cup of tea. The characters are so easy to love, the story is complex and intriguing, the plot is hard to predict, the animation is gorgeous, and the opening is amazing! 10/10 from me.
I couldn't believe what I saw in the first episode. This is one of the most faithful video game adaptations I've seen, and one that most manages to capture the essence of the game. It even has the same soundtrack.
Nier: Automata is one of the best games of the last generation and it deserved a quality anime like this. The animation is very well done, and although for someone who played the game the story doesn't feel very new, it brings a lot of nostalgia to see iconic scenes depicted in the anime.
Let's hope that the anime maintains the same quality in each chapter, since its debut has been impressive. Personally, I am very curious to see how they handle the development of the story with the multiple endings that the game had.
