Allow me a moment to wipe the drool from my mouth...

'Hot Water' clearly is a low budget movie with B-movie acting, but where the film lacks in this department, the eye candy sure enough compensates for any shortcomings (erm, no connotation of any kind here in context...). The toned bodies are soft on the eyes, and certainly a pleasure to look at.

Back to the story. The film is about jet skier Billy Burnett (Glenn McCuen), who obviously has the skills, but lacks discipline and determination. His friend Danny (Max Adler) arranges for Billy to be coached by ski champion Jarid Harper (Trevor Donovan).

What follows, is a pretty predictable and somewhat cheesy story which involves jealousy, love, envy, and the usual traits associated with a sports movie of this caliber. For a low budget movie, the camera work and jet ski stunts are awesome! The film also has a good, thumping soundtrack guaranteed to get your feet tapping and have you swaying in your seat.

Unfortunately, the film in general wasn't all that captivating. A great deal of the film is taken up by trivial and pointless comedic moments. The plot is extremely thin and the love story felt forced for the sake of having a romantic interest. If it wasn't for the eye candy and the jet ski stunts, 'Hot Water' would have been ultimately forgettable. Ok, I must add, I liked the ending.

Would I watch it again? No.

Some may have found the scene with the dinosaur somewhat funny. I did, but there was nothing else in the entire rest of the movie anyone could honestly say deserved more than even a slight chuckle. Someone needs to correct the list under Genre so it reads Sports-Drama-Sadness because one 'sort of funny' scene does not make a comedy movie. All you do is feel sorry for the boy until near the end of the movie. The racing was okay and because of that I gave this movie a 4.

You can always tell when the cast, production crew, or friends of the film makers review their CRAP movies (see a couple of the other reviews). IF this movie is a 9 or 10 stars (as they gave it), then a movie like Gone With the Wind, Sound of Music, Oliver, or any ACTUAL very highly rated movie would be about 9,999,999 stars. The ONLY way this movie deserves a 9 or 10 star rating is if the highest possible rating is 10,000,000. THEN the 9 or 10 MIGHT be accurate. Plotless, pointless, pathetic. Go rent a copy of the 1988 movie "Hot To Trot" with Bobcat Goldthwait. Watch this first, then "Hot To Trot" WILL seem like a 10 of 10!

Not fun no real review. Totally boring. Sport not Sport, comedy not comedy.

In this crazy world, it helps to be entertained. This movie gives you laughs with incredible jet ski action. The stunts are powerful! The sweet love story reminds you of the innocence of youth and brings a smile to your face. A much needed breath of fresh air from all the negativity in the world!

With everything going on in the world right now, this movie is just what's needed to unwind, have some fun and laugh! Gorgeous scenery, great skiing and just a nice all around movie to watch with friends.

I wasn't expecting anything earth shattering or worthy of those disingenuous Hollywood awards that so many people seem to love in movies these days. I just enjoyed this movie because it's light, it's simple, and it has a nice even pace. Not every film or book will change the world, but that doesn't mean they can't get a good rating and a good review. It thought it was an enjoyable evening.

Funny action comedy! Loved the characters, my favorite Dog! Beautiful scenery! The jet ski racing was awesome! Lots of laughs! You'll love it, funny, action packed movie!

The movie was awesome to watch with lots of action. Lots of tips and secrets for racers to learn how to become the best. Never a dull moment, watched multiple times, every time I watched I'd noticed there's so much action they're parts Id missed. Keep those eyes peels! Great movie for the family.

I love jet ski racing, I love Lake Havasu City, and I totally loved this movie !!! I streamed "Hot Water" when it first came out and just had to get my own Blue Ray copy so that I could watch it over and over again. Totally entertaining to anyone that's ever ridden a jet ski and simply a fun watch for all. Did I already say that I love this movie !

So much fun too watch our sport in a movie and to share what it is all about Fun, lots of friends and family doing what they love. Thank you Larry and Paula Rippenkroger.

If you're looking for a night of pure guilty pleasure entertainment this is your movie. Some laugh out loud moments and great one-liners that my friends & I are already quoting. The racing action is great, putting you right in the middle of the adrenaline. Even more surprising, as the movie progresses the storyline has heart and really pulls you in. Watched it twice already and just ordered the DVD.

Funny and relaxing extreme sports movie. Very enjoyable.

Great entertainment watching a Young Cocky Jet Skier , as he stumbles into Racing and gets sponsored and Joins the World Tour. Funny stunts and Comical Laughs keep you smiling till the end! Watching him try to handle his personal life and the ups and down of being on tour , He has some great action Racing scenes that keep you on the edge. Overall great Movie for the whole Family! 5 Star for this Movie Looking forward to Hot Water 2 !

Great movie showing the awesome world of jet ski racing with some great slapstick comedy on the side!

Stumbled upon this movie one date night and gave it a play. Absolutely hilarious. The jokes are realistic and actually funny, and the girls in bikinis aren't that shabby either. Great action and we could relate to so many of the jokes. Definitely will recommend this to my friends. Maybe we'll get jet skis and try racing!

This was a fun movie! I laughed out loud several times during the movie. There were a few serious moments as well which gave it a nice balance. It was filmed at a wonderful location and the actors are terrific. Trevor Donovan is one of my favorite actors. Definitely worth the watch!

It was a fun movie with the classic underdog theme! Lots of laughs and fun to have a movie about jet skiing and the watercross tours! We watched it as a family and loved it!

How very rare today to have a movie that just tells a fun story without any social justice engineering! We had a watch party with 20 people aged 8-60 and everyone loved it. If you have any connection to racing "back in the day" you will see a character you are sure is modeled after someone you know. If you have never been on the jetski racing scene, this movie will make you want to go!

Will watching this movie make you a better person? No, that is not what a movie is for. Will it make you more woke or make you feel like a superior person due to your social justice score? Nope. If you need movies for that you are in the wrong place. Will it entertain you with a simple storyline developed and delivered with skill, characters you can relate to, and exciting action scenes? Absolutely.
