She constantly acts annoyed that people think she is a child, and that bars and restaurants ID her when she orders an alcoholic beverage. The whole reason she has this show is because she looks like a child, you'd think she'd get it by now. Also they interview every person or employee that encounters her, where they say the same thing each time: "I was definitely surprised she was 22, my first thought was that she was a child." She doesnt do anything relatively interesting either, just day to day life like the rest of us. This would be much better as a 1hr special about her and her rare disorder, not an entire series. This shouldn't make it past the first season, but Darcey and Stacy are still on TV, so who even knows anymore.
Shauna Rae is funny, and very engaging. A very refreshing change from all the other shows from this otherwise mundane channel. The family seems to be very caring and supportive. I do think TLC is famous for setting up situations for dramatic effect. This isn't that bad though.
She is a short ball of attutude and doesn't take what she's been dealt with "sitting down!"
I hope she is followed for years to come.....
Fierce and fun!❤
I paid for this show because it looked interesting but wasn't included on Discovery+.
It hasn't really been worth it. The first episode was alright and Shauna Rae seems interesting and fun. She faces a lot of challenges, and does so with a good attitude. That is awesome. Unfortunately I thought this show would be more interesting, diving into what her life is like but the producers don't seem to use much material. Mostly we see one scene after another of Shauna walking into a bar/tattoo shop/brewery/fair/restaurant and being asked how old she is by employees of these establishments, or the film crew/family members ask the employees how old they think she is -- all while playing annoying reality tv background music. I understand that must be a common occurrence in her life that gets very old but how many times can they show essentially the same scene?
In addition to this, a lot of the show feels scripted or forced. Shauna's lunch with her friends was hard to watch because her friends both showed no personality and the conversation was so scripted. I hope it gets better.

I like the show for a couple episodes but became tired of Shauna Rae complaining all the time. She's constantly saying how angry she is that people ask for proof of age or just don't automatically know she's an adult. It's ridiculous how much self pity we had to listen to so I stopped watching.
