The Bar could not live up to the high expectations of the makers. According to figures from the Kijk- en Luisteronderzoek, the program attracted an average of 240,000 viewers per day in the first few weeks. 50,000 of those watched the rerun. The first broadcast on April 22 was still watched by 380,000 people, after that that number has only decreased. In the month of May, that dropped to 150,000. After days of meetings, Yorin decides at the beginning of June to continue the program with some changes, despite these figures.
