Lily Darling is a fun, sweet and romantic movie about some emo kids who fall in love. The music is rockin' and the outfits are perfect. The cast really brought some great characters to life and it was the perfect time capsule of 2006! Also, its hilarious.

Hard to find a film that captures that time and vibes of 2006 emo punk trend that we old school emos really treasure. Combo that with nostalgic pop punk music & rom com sensibilities, you have Lily Darling: a heartwarming & cute story about young love and being true to yourself.

If you are a teenager, pre teen, post teen, lived as a teen in the 2000's, as a parent in the 2000's, any of the above will get a "sweet!" feeling from Lily Darling. It is a perfect "no sax or violins" movie that captures young love. It also hits the styles, sounds, and vibes of the 2000's teen scene to a perfection. An innocent and fun movie for people of all ages to enjoy.

Parents this is an important movie to show your kids if you want to drive home the theme of being yourself above striving to fit in. Also of girls standing up to boys who don't have their best interest in heart. And, standing up to bullies.

The film starts out slowly developing the relationship between the main characters, but follow along and be delighted. We all know the bubbly girl in high school and Reilly Rose nails it. Her boyfriend Coal is delightful to watch and captures the essence of that boy you don't want your daughter to date. Enjoy the film!

I love the music in this movie. A movie about teenagers bonding over their shared interest in music back in the mid 2000's is such a fun and sweet concept. I really enjoyed watching these characters live out high school age antics and run into trouble together. The romance in this movie is very sweet and relatable, and it got a couple of chuckles out of me, which is nice,
