Wow, what a shocker movie!

We were kept on the edge of our seats the entire movie.

The movie had such an unexpected ending!

Amazing thriller that kept us laser focused for the entire movie!

The movie has wonderful acting, great scenery, dramatic camera work and thriller music background.

There are great scenes of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area and neighborhoods.

Overall, very intriguing story line and tumultuous plot changes that make you hang on for every scene and keep you second guessing the surprising and terrifying conclusion!

I really enjoyed this psychological thriller! Good insight into therapy and how it works (or doesn't) very realistic, great acting, and the ending was such a surprise. Great job of the character development and realistic plot development.

I attended this showing with several friends, and we were all speechless as the movie ended. We excitedly reviewed the clues, the red herrings, and had quite a few different opinions. A film that generates this much discussion after the viewing has value as a thriller. It also had such a twist at the end that was so artfully done.

I need to see this film again to follow the plot more closely.

If you love "edge of your seat" thrillers, you will love Basic Psych as much as I did! This movie realistically explores the dynamics of the relationship between a psychiatrist and his patient while keeping you guessing through numerous plot twists and turns. The acting is superb and script is so tight that you are constantly engaged. All the threads are neatly tied together in a dramatic ending that leaves you breathless. Even after you know how this movie ends, it's one of those movies you can watch over and over again to pick up little clues you might have missed! One of the best thrillers I've seen in years.

This is a fabulous thriller with a very unexpected ending. It is well written and marvelously acted. I really thought I had this one figured out but boy was I wrong. And, it is rare that movie endings satisfy me. This ending was just perfect and well thought out.

The cinematography was beautiful, and we loved and enjoyed the great Pittsburgh scenes. The casting was thoughtful with actors and actresses realistically portraying the characters.

I almost never want to see a movie more than once; however, I can't wait to see this one again. It kept me absolutely enthralled the entire time.

If psychological thrillers and murder mysteries are your thing, you're gonna love this movie! I've always wondered what a psychiatrist would do if he finds out he's treating a murderer. Does he tell the authorities? What about doctor/patient confidentiality? These are the kinds of questions raised in this dark, suspenseful, and well crafted thriller. The film is well cast, with standout performances by actors Michael Cerveris, David Conrad and Cotter Smith. Sienna Goines occasionally overacts in a few scenes, but does a good job overall as Cerveris's wife, trying hard to hold her family together in a time of crisis. Cerveris and Conrad's characters play a dangerous game of cat and mouse that will keep you guessing right up until the end. Basic Psych is right up there with some of the all time great thrillers!
