Why a film like this can enter the film festival? I hope Malaysian films can be better.

Lazy movie. Does the director learn a knowledge about how to do a better movie? Every quality in this movie very cheap. Cinematography looks like just shoot like a kid. Script disappointing. Dialog is cringe. A lot of acting in this movie is stv pid. I only accept Pablo acting in this movie. Other than that, rubbish. My rating for this movie is 2/10. Wasting my money RM 15. Wish I could get my money back!!!

I watch this with some expectation that this film at least gonna be decent since it is local made (Sarawakian), boy I was wrong. Sound editing, color grading, cinematography, actor, plot, make-up effect are ALL TERRIBLE. How on earth this film won many international award? Dia orang buta ke?

Is rare to have Malaysian films winning awards internationally and this film has done it. Might not be the best we have seen but decent showcase of local culture, places and a huge step into producing good films.

Not just "new" but exotic. There is so much you need to understand about the indie film, "Zombie Infection - Belaban Hidup". If you know anything about what goes into the making of a movie then you already know the phenomenal challenges Ray Lee and his team faced shooting this movie. Add to that the current state of affairs on the beautiful island of Malaysia and you will come to appreciate that Ray Lee and his team have pioneered the future of art and entertainment for the beautiful people of Malaysia. His movie not only told a story that is a must see for all zombie enthusiasts and horror fans, it also tells the story of a people who have strong family values and put others needs and lives ahead of self. This move has action, gore, drama, and of course ZOMBIES! All of this from a first time award winning writer/producer. I'm looking forward to the sequel and for more from Ray Lee. This is exactly what we need. Artist not taking "no" for an answer and going out there making big dreams come true. I absolutely encourage you to watch and enjoy "Zombie Infection - Belaban Hidup" and support indie film creators.

Good storyline with a lot of emotion.
Love the rainforest and the long house scene, the culture of the indigenous people is awesome especially the costume, really enjoy the screenplay & the sound of the chirping birds. Waiting for sequel!

Those are writing a 1/10 review are based on comparing this film to Oscar nominated films. This may not be an Oscar worthy movie. However, the director did a great job directing first time actors. Most of the actors on the film are first time actors. Their acting was very realistic for what it was. This was a movie that was produced in Malaysia and resources are quiet limited out there when it comes to film industry. It is important to take different things into consideration when it comes to judging this film. I have seen worse movies that have been produced in US where their isn't a lack of creative resources.

I'm really not quite sure what movie some of these "reviewers" are watching but this film is the perfect combination of violent kills and emotional character sequences. The fact that the language used in this film is endangered and the first zombie film from Malaysia is outstanding. I enjoyed this experience and never wanted it to end. It's a must watch for zombie lovers and horror lovers alike. Ray is a great filmmaker and an even better person.
