The Partner

I like how each founder's "origin story" becomes more erratic and unbelievable as time progresses. You can tell that a lot of these stories (like the casino scene and the restaurant scene) were totally made up just to give the founders story extra drama. Just like any tall tale, the founding of any large company eventually becomes a mythology of it's own where the facts are stretched to help the story along.

It reminds me of a lot the business "foundation" podcasts I listened to on Spotify, where the CEO tells an idealized story of how the company was founded and the worker bees who made personal sacrifices to build the company are ignored. Some good examples of that are shows like that are "How I Built That", which is hosted by Guy Raz and produced by NPR.
