Unless you're immersed in black gay subcultures, this will be an eye opening show. Myself, I wasn't aware that "stud" is a newer term for "butch". In an odd way this show is like How To with John Wilson, for being deeply personal and completely unique with non traditional but very interesting interview subjects. I kind of wish they would identify more of the people at the house party. Sometimes it's obvious (SNL cast members) but others just seem kind of familiar. However even this is on purpose, putting people on equal footing. The skits are amazing too, like the naked basketball game with fun postgame performers.
And I gave it a chance, I might even keep watching, but with this being my introduction to Sam, they come across as pretty arrogant, many times talking just to reinforce what they already believe, or to justify their beliefs and actions. There's very little grace or understanding to be found here, even though the show purports to cover heavy subjects, it fails to say much new, novel, insightful, or profound. And all of this while only occasionally funny.
This is what keeps racism alive. It isnt white people. Its people like this. Shows like this. She isnt smart, she isnt funny, she is simply what is excused for professional "BLACK" comedian these days. Ya know, the cookie cutter comedians that think they are witty doing white people jokes when no one can joke back at them without being called a *&^%...
Black comedians making white jokes or talking about race in any way is like Mike tyson beating up a 3 year old. Not hard to do when the opponent cant fight back. Youre no comedian. Youre the typical token hack we accept today from your community cause if we didnt you cry its us that have a problem with race when its all you talk about... weird...

Super funny and extremely relatable
Sam jay is very charismatic and his great comedic timing.
Just the same old beating a dead horse. Waste of time! Not even interesting enough to check it out. Same issues over and over, blaming everyone else for their problems, they all talk over each other and say so much without saying anything intelligent.
