Quite an engaging series. It's binge-worthy at 8 episodes.
What do I like about it? The script is well-written, the stories are multi-layered and the themes it tackles resonates with the viewer. The viewer, either male or female easily relates with the characters. And the actors portraying them are praise-worthy; their acting is spot on.
The stories themselves are about ordinary people just wanting to make a mark in the world in the best way they think possible and struggling to try to realize it. The insights the movie imparts amplify the human condition. Moments of introspection by the characters reinforce these insights.
This is another example of a long list of fine Spanish films worthy of our attention. No braggadocio just solid acting. As it is made, it's complete; all the major issues are resolved. A season 2 might not be needed although the producers and director could surprise us with a better season 2.

I don't agree that it is a series addressed to women. I think it is addressed to everyone and this is a very real social issue. With the advent of social media, mobile phones and the recklessness of people trying to revenge or expose other persons this is a very realistic story touching different people in the series. Good lesson for younger people.
Good scenario, excellent acting, good cinematography and even the ending is quite realistic.

... served by wonderful cast and great cinematography (all aspects).
Such a delicate issue requires great deal of delicacy and the script, directing as well as the acting - did not spoil it by triviality or boldness and managed it in a subtle, non-manipulative manner.
Photography and settings were a delight and a very fine tribute to the beautiful city of Bilbao.
The music was just as good but regrettably I did sense any add-value from it.
I very much enjoyed the fine gallery of actresses portraying their rolls so naturally in so-called "gentle water-colors" way, yet I wish there was much more of the great Patricia López Arnaiz.
Sheer pleasure.

It's a slow burn but brilliantly acted and there's so much female power and lessons for us all. I think maybe those with more advanced thinking will appreciate it.

The idea of the show really appealed to me. A succesful, public female of whom a sex tape is leaked, and simultaneously the story of a female factory worker who gets bullied when graffic pictures of here get spread at work. That can be a great story (about female sexualty) (!).. but it's not, really. And I think it's because the storyline lacks realness and finesse.
A story that touches on intimate subject needs subltlety in emotions of characters. Depth.
This show mainly wants to tell a story. And it very much tries to make statements about how women are shamed for their sexuality but it's too much, it's forced. It wants to be feminists but you don't actually feel it. The show just isn't good enough unfortunately.

Knowing in advance the subject matter of this series, I found it alluring to watch it, as the porn revenge and private sex videos uploading that began with the advent of the internet became felonies. Hence, I expected a dramatic crime thriller, but found something different instead. The first two episodes were engaging but then everything dissolves into a melodrama that break downs to follow secondary aspects and instead of deep it gets tedious. Some scenes were filmed, (lousy extras) without the ability to convey the dramatism required to impact the viewers. An eight episodes package was too much for a wasted good product that could be constructed in six at most to deliver a tour de force.

I thought this was really good. It put the theme at the centre of a political drama whilst, at the same, the political drama remained one thread amongst several. With excellent script, performances and direction, I was completely drawn into it and moved.

Good documentary on the double standards for men n women on cases like this. The one thing that stuck in mind is why would Milan hook up with a guy she knows nothing about who is obviously married as to the ring on his finger. That doesn't show much for her character if she willing sleeps with another woman's husband and in this case children are involved. This all could have been avoided if she would have thought of the other woman. But I guess we would have tv series then 🙄

If you're looking for a series that has a realistic take on invasion of privacy and how that impacts someone and everybody around them then look no further than Netflix's, "Intimacy".
With this kind of premise for a show the acting performances for it have to be realistic and compassionate and all of the actors did that and much more. Every single actor in this series brought everything to their roles and helped captivate the audience for this wild ride. Everybody in this show felt like real human beings and how people would react in this kind of situation. The real standouts for this show though were Verónica Echegui, Itziar Ituño, Patricia López Arnaiz, and Ana Wagener, who plays Alicia. All four of these actresses bring such raw emotions to their roles that it makes it easy for the audience to understand what they're going through and feel sympathy for them.
Another element of this series that was captivating was the story. This series follows four different main storylines and some other minor ones and it's able to connect each really well and keep them all captivating. The most captivating thing for me was the fact they showed both ways someone would go about this situation. Whenever a show has lots of storylines it's hard to balance all of them and make sure all of them get the same amount of time and moves at the right speed and for the most part, they hit a home run. But, after some reassessing of the series, I realized that not only one storyline was kind of rushed but some of the smaller ones as well. I feel like the writers figured they were only going to get one season for this series so they wanted to wrap everything up nicely and in doing so rushed some story stuff.
This takes me over to the pacing for the series where once again the pacing is a home run except for a few things. I will say this for 2.5/4 storylines the pacing moves at the right speed with everything making sense but, for the other 1.5, it was working well until the final 2 episodes. I really noticed the pacing issues specifically for the final episode as it felt rushed especially surrounding some character decisions. There are some character decisions made that just made no sense given certain information we see throughout the series.
One random aspect of the series that I caught myself enjoying was the cinematography for this series. There were so many gorgeous shots in this series that just took my breath away. There were some creative shots used in this series that helps the audience understand these characters and their relationships. To keep it spoiler-free an example of this is there are two characters in the frame and there's a wall separating them. I also found the camerawork interesting as at times it felt like a camera or a person watching these people live their normal lives which keeps in theme with the series.
In the end, Intimacy is an interesting series that despite some pacing and story issues is still worth a watch especially because of the subject matter.

An extremely slow burner but Glad that a series is done on this topic! At least many out there would get an idea how one can fight when their right to privacy n private life is violated and made public instead of giving up n surrendering their lives.

The cast is good, the acting by the lead actress Itziar Ituno, fantastic. However I did find the series rather melodramatic and forced after a very engaging first episode. The series gets lost in too many weak side plots and trying to pack too many messages in one series. The portrayal of misogyny is over the top and rather forced; every man in the series is a misogynist and the only one who isn't, is gay. After the first two episodes, the dialogues become extremely predictable (misogyny). The entire series is man vs woman and the actual message of betrayal and breach of privacy ends up getting lost.

I watched Intimidad because I loved Itziar Ituno in La Casa De Papel. While I think Ituno shone as Malen Zubiri in Intimidad, I was incredibly moved by this series as a whole. First of all, the cinematography was gorgeous. While it moved at a slower pace than I expected, I thought that the show dealt with topics like sexism, discrimination, violations of privacy, sex crimes, workplace harassment, grief, and mental health in a compassionate way. I loved that the show focused on the experiences of women from all walks of life, and I think this show can be very healing for anyone who has had to struggle with any of these issues. I know that it was for me.

It started out in a fascinating and captivating manner. It ended HORRIBLY! Every female character is weak and disgusting and all the men are degraded. ALL of them! The last 2 episodes were HORRIBLE! There was no REAL justice and an example of why the world is in such a disgrace. I wish it would have ended differently.

This is a TV show the world needs today. It's powerful, moving, unsettling, it tells stories of women mistreated by the world of men and by the world of the tactless and nosey. It makes one understand how vulnerable and unprotected we may all come to be and how fragile everything we have built is. And it makes one realize that it's worth fighting for our identity, for being true to ourselves and looking the world directly in the face without being afraid or ashamed. A potent message. And impeccable acting. And Itziar Ituño is just brilliant.

Didn't know what to expect and admit I was hesitant. I actually started to watch but turned it off. Then decided a few hours ago to give it a chance. So glad I did. Every woman of every age from every country gay and straight should watch this sophisticated well scripted beautifully cast solid direction. Twist and turns the story develops with flashbacks as the elegant ensemble cast snowballs. I love movies and series that are unpredictable where I cannot out guess the writers. I love to enter their imaginations and flow with their reality. In this case add to that an important story an important plot and it's a winner. This is a series for all women and hopefully their male partners friends colleagues children will have the courage to watch it to. Congratulations to cast and crew.

If lately you have been wondering that there are no more clichés in your life, there is a simple explanation: all the clichés of the world have been packed into this series.
So, if you want your life back, stop watching this show.
It's very unfortunate that a series that is dealing with such an important topic totally destroys every opportunity it has to actually change something in society. The only thing it does is create a total waste of time.

I nearly cried in certain parts of this series, especially in the last episode of season 1. That scene between sisters was so touching and heartbreaking. The actors are fantastic in this series, they draw you in and make you feel something. I hope for a season 2.

This show is a victim of its own weird sense of "justice." Despite a good performance by the leading actress, it meanders through ridiculous sub-plots involving a lesbian couple, crazed teen swimmer, and woke limp husband. It is never explained how an orgy scene involving one of the female "victims" came about. We are supposed to cheer for anyone who has sex regardless of whether it is sanctioned by their married partners. Lots of finger wagging speeches about "justice" and "exploitation." Since when it is criminal to forward naughty videos to co-workers? Spain seems like a really regimented country. This show is very much a waste of time and sends all kind of twisted messages.

I highly recommend intimidad starring Itziar Ituño and written by women. A devastating and heartbreaking social story for its realism, its empathy and its fierce criticism. A series with suffocating shots where silence matters as much as what they say.

8 intense, realistic chapters. A must-see series, it's not a women's thing, it's a social disease.
A story that humanely addresses the cases of victims of crimes against privacy, in a society where most victims are seen as guilty.

It started as a good series with good acting but it is pushing the mainstream media and political agenda. When they brought in the Covid vaccinations promotion which has nothing to do with the revenge porn issue I had stopped watching. The last episodes were disappointing.

Intimidad managed to exceed my expectations in every possible way.
I could see myself in all the women - it was so painful and empowering at the same time. I'm incredibly grateful for itziar's work and that of all the women involved in the project.

Despite the compelling storyline and its portrayal of challenging experiences for women, the main character comes across as rather unlikeable.
The lack of meaningful dialogue, replaced by constant yelling and tension, makes the viewing experience dull and uninteresting. You don't get much from the conversations and the stubborn nature of the main character who is struggling for sure, but can't seem to understand her daughter is also affected.
On a positive note, the film excels in showcasing the stunning landscapes in and around Bilbao, accompanied by impressive photography. I really enjoyed that aspect.
