I am an average movie lover who rarely watches randomly a movie or series. Usually, I like to receive new recommendations from trustworthy friends or from social media, that's why I can relatively stay in touch with trending movies.

After every movie, I like to give a review, then I compare it with IMDB ratings. For this movie, I have seen that the ratings are moving from 1 to 10 and after reading them I have to make some non-spoiler mentions.

Before watching "Complet necunoscuti", you need to know that there are another 20 movies with the same title, theme, ideas and dialogue, because this is a franchise movie, made for multiple languages. I find dissapointing the comments which state this movie as a "copy-paste" one, it is a "feature" of every movie from this franchise.

The movie has a very good script, combined with a remarkable overall acting. There are emotions, fun (big like for the final scene), pretty good jokes and drama. It is a satire about relationships and couples, about hidden truths and social judgement. The Romanian aproach was interesting and as a results, this version is better rated than the original (italian).

Maybe, it is in Top 5 Romanian movies from last 5 years and I believe that 8.5/10 is a fair rating.

I watched this movie and have been impressed by the acting. Each element of the movie, starting with the scenery was on point. The movie scenes had the perfect lighting and colors for me, and the characters fit perfectly. I would totally recommend it.

Even if is a remake of a great movie, this is a romanian version and it is great. One of my favourite romanian movie. It is such a long time I haven't seen a good comedy and now I have the chance to see this fabulous movie with great actors who played absolutely magnificent. Octavian Strunila became my favourite romanian film director and I hope he will have the support to make more good movies.

This movie exists in many, MANY countries but adapted by each to their country, style, language and so on it is not a copy paste it simply it what it is!

It's rare to find such good romanian movies. Amazing work, amazing acting! The fact that the same scenario was used in a different french movie shouldn't matter, movies are remade all the time. What matters is the way they are remade. If it's good it's good.

Go ahead and watch it, it's not wasted time.

This is one of the many remakes of the italian movie, not the french one. Its basically a meme, most remade movie ever. Many people gave it one star thinking its a copy, but le jeu is also a copy..

At the 30min mark, I stopped the movie, wondering why I liked the original, when this seemed so bad.

Then I played the original and remembered. The acting, directing, script there were much more realistic and wonderfully made.

This one falls short as a stand-alone movie, falls even shorter when compared to the original. The acting in this one is flat, each character talks at once, never interrupted, like clockwork, which seems so rigid and unrealistic.

The lines aren't culturally adapted to Romanian, and some of the beats change in a forced manner, leaving the viewer to wonder how did that happen.

Comparing the Romanian version with the other three that I saw before (Italian, French, Spanish) I saw that the Romanians lost one of the main ideas of the film - the mystery of the Moon. Here everything ends flat and in a bad light for the participants. I don't understand why so much euphoria in the rating given to this version so far.

...why it fells like cheap copy/paste....probably because I've seen the French version....not much to consider....but this one is even "better"... what a hell is wrong with you guys ? Strunila?

Let's face it....you could bring so much "Romanian touch"...

The same scenario was used by the French movie Le Jeu, 2018. Initially I was very happy with this movie, just to find out the same scenario has been used 3 years before.

The same movie aired a couple of years ago and this one is a copy, the script is exactly the same. What a shame. It's not worth your time as the original one is much better.

I was ''shocked'' to see another copy, i don't know about the movie industry, but i cannot rate this movie high just because its a lousy copy, even missing a few things . The italian one ''Perfetti sconosciuti 2016'' i think i rated as 9, really brilliant and ORIGINAL.

Filmul original este Perfetti sconosciuti din 2016 , italian, acesta este doar un remake care nu se ridica la acelasi nivel, ar merita un 6..7 , daca ar fi original, dar fiind o copie nu pot si nu e corect sa il punctez mai mult de nota 2.

I was shocked to see that someone found it to be ok to just copy paste a movie (Le Jeu, 2018) and even present it to film festivals. The movie is very bad. The actors (like so many contemporary Romanian actors) can't play and are hard to be believable. They are not natural, but theatrical in manner and speach. And the story doesn't fit the Romanian culture. It's hard to believe that they eat escargot, maybe just to be pretentious (I am Romanian so I know how we are).

It's just a waste of resources. Time and money should be put to better use.

Don't bother to see this, it's not worth it. Just watch the french one.

P. S. The high rating it's suspicious.

The plot is kind of superficial and the acting is kind of bad. Romanian actors are pretty weak, they act too much in a theatrical manner, not natural. It s like a soap opera, meh..

Is like the same movie but in romanian even rhe scripts is near copy paste even the decors look alike.... its funny but its the same thing, do they have the authors ok to do this ? Does this need to be reported ?
