Scott Adkins replaced Vinnie Jones.

During the scene where Flint visits Polo's 'hardware guy', he uses a laser-guided gun to target him. The sound effect used for the mechanical movement is taken from Robocop, el defensor del futuro (1987).

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Scott Adkins would also appear in Los indestructibles 2 (2012) and Soldado Universal La Ultima Batalla (2012) the following year. They also appeared in the Shepard. Both have also played the lead role in different entries in the Hard Target franchise.
