THE MOVIE. THE SOUNDTRACK. THE SONGS. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE IS PERFECT I NEED A SEQUEL ASAP!!!! THIS IS A MUST WATCH. I must say I haven't seen an animated movie this long since spiderman across the spider verse. Please watch this movie, from the character development, to the message it's truly great. My only hope is there is a sequel as I'd love to see more of the cast and characters in this movie. Be prepared to laugh, smile, cry, all of the above. Not a single song in the movie is worth missing, they all now sit in my playlist because of how good all the songs are...like literally amazing.
Friend recommended me this movie as a joke and i did not take it seriously at all. I saw that it had a decent rating on this site and decided to watch it as a joke with him and another friend. This was one of the best decisions i could've made. This movie was like uncovering a treasure that had been forgotten and overlooked. It was a god level movie with top tier EVERYTHING. Thought this was going to be horrible but it changed my life forever. I immediately stumbled across 100 millions dollars in my yard and my amputated leg grew back. WATCH THIS MOVIE ASAP IT IS SO GOOD 10/10. Bobby the goat.
"KPop Demon Hunters" is humorously subversive and a funny but brutal commentary on not only its own industry but teenage culture and the fan-base as well.
Kids will enjoy the beautiful animation, well-drawn characters, and songs. Older teens and parents (if they're not too tired) will hopefully see and enjoy the embedded satire.
That good: Well-voiced acting. Good dialogues. Catchy tunes.
The bad: The plot is predictable and a bit cliche. But that is not to say it's not good. It isn't bad.
There's a moment early on in the movie when the girls first meet the boys, and it's hilarious.
A rare win for Netflix.

This was a fun ride. There's a lot of moments where I was laughing because of the references they put in it. The animation style reminds me a little of a fluid stop motion? It looks good especially paired with the action and all that bright coloring it was very nice and not too flashy in the eyes.
The highlight for me would be the music. All the music in this got my head banging too definitely saving it on my playlist. The lyrics have depth and it works well woven into the plot especially the bigger numbers. The voice actors and singer they hired for this fit nicely the only issue I had was sometimes it's too soft whenever they talk but too loud whenever they sing... there are moments also where in the animation expression didn't quite merge well with the voice acting. I also rewatched this in Filipino dub and was surprised to hear them also dub the music!! Listening to the songs in my native language felt good.
Overall it's a good wholesome movie that teaches you to accept yourself even if you're not perfect, get broken or make mistakes. A big plus as well for enemies to lovers trope. I'm always a sucker for it. It made me laugh but also made me cry. I wish so much for a sequel.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this movie stunned me. It's vibrant, heartfelt, and way cooler than I expected.
The concept is fresh and fierce. A K-pop girl group fighting demons while juggling fame and inner demons. The idea is insane-in the best way possible. And it works.
The biggest highlight of the movie lies in its animation and soundtrack. The animation is bold and colorful without falling into the usual "Spider-Verse clone" trap. The character models are fluid and very anime-esque in their expressions and the action scenes are beautifully choreographed and synced with the music. Pure eye candy from start to finish. The Soundtrack is a banger. The original songs are total earworms particularly "Golden", "Takedown" and "Free". They blend the sleek production of real K-pop with emotional storytelling.
The characters are hilarious and full of heart. Rumi's journey is the soul of the film. Her struggles to strive toward self-acceptance hits deep. You feel for her. Her friends/group members Zoey and Mira aren't just there to pad out the runtime, they breath life into plot and their friendship is believable and powerful filled with loyalty, tension and growth.
The movie doesn't take itself too seriously, but when it does, it lands. There are funny fan-culture nods, cheesy K-drama moments, and yet it still makes you feel things.
However, there are some things about the movie that holds it back from being perfect. The plot, while engaging, can feel slightly predictable and leans into familiar tropes. And the villain wasn't really as interesting.
Overall, KPop Demon Hunters is a bold, stylish and energetic thrill ride that'll keep you on the edge of your seat throughout its entire runtime. With its stunning visuals, high energy, great action and emotional character arcs, it is one of the most enjoyable movies of the year so far.
