Snowman is a captivating Punjabi film that brilliantly combines the thrills of an adrenaline-pumping storyline with the chilling beauty of breathtaking cinematography. Directed by the visionary AMAN KHATKAR, this movie takes the audience on an unforgettable journey through the majestic snow-capped mountains of BC canada, where suspense and emotion intertwine like the intricate patterns of a snowflake.
From the very first frame, Snowman grips you with its stunning visuals. The cinematography is nothing short of mesmerizing. Each shot feels like a postcard from a winter wonderland, with sweeping landscapes that capture the serene beauty of the snowy terrain while also evoking a sense of isolation that perfectly complements the film's tension. The clever use of light and shadow creates an eerie atmosphere, enhancing the film's thrilling moments while making the viewer shiver in both excitement and fear.
At the heart of this gripping narrative is the powerhouse performance by the lead actor Arshi Khatkar.

I watched the trailer for this movie thinking it looked so creative and cool. And my biggest mistake was buying the ticket to go watch it because it absolutely sucked and I wish I saved the money and my sanity by not watching it. First off I have to say, no hate to any of the actors especially Neeru Bajwa and Rana Ranbir they are phenomenal actors and definitely did not deserve to take part in the garbage writing that was this movie. Anyways, this movie was the worst I have seen this year. The plot had SO much potential but the execution was terrible. The way that it had the same music playing the entire movie, and different shots every 5 seconds like let the godamn scene play out!! I have way more to rant about but if you really are curious and want to check the movie out just wait for it to come out so you can watch it at home and wont have to waste your money on the theatre.
Thought i'd try this film out as i haven't seen many foreign language films before, especially Punjabi ones. And i have to say that i was stunned by how godawful this film was. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece by any metric, but the entire film felt like a joke, like i was being pranked.
For a start, the film is unintentionally hilarious on many fronts, including the soundtrack which is intrusively loud and the lyrics to the songs are comedically terrible ('What is happening? What is happening? What is happening?' Indeed! WTF is actually happening??). The story was both threadbare and didn't make much sense, the acting was laughable with everyone either absurdly over-the-top or in a coma, and the director thought he was cool by making almost every character walk in slllloooo -mootiiiooon constantly even when doing something as mundane as pouring a cup of water.
The story and characters didn't hold my attention and i didn't care how it ended. I saw another review saying they were on the edge of their seat. Yes, i'l admit i was too, desperate for the credits to roll so i can do a Usain Bolt impersonation from my seat to the exit.
Dire!!! Avoid this garbage at all costs unless you want your sanity tested.

I had such high expectations from this movie! This was the first time punjabi cinema tried to do something different. The story seems like a two year old child wrote it. The only good actor was Rana Ranbir which was expected given his experience. Neeru was good as well. All other newbie actors were a pain to watch. Some actors were laughing during serious scenes. Horrible dialog delivery. Overall, such a disappointment. Hopefully they do humanity some justice and don't make a second part because literally no one will come watch it. The ending did not make sense...there was a lot going on and not enough explanation.
Only one good thing about this movie - Neeru Bajwa. She looked amazing throughout the movie. Sorry, but the rest was awful, particularly the dramatic music, what was the all about?? The plot was ridiculous. Everything was just slow motion and loud dramatic music! Best to steer clear (unless you're a fan of Neeru's) With the exception of MOH - which was crazy good), Punjabi movies are a let down more often than not - such a shame. Did see Criminal, also with Neeru, that was a similar type of film but slightly better. This film just became farcical, didn't make any sense at all. Don't do it, 'snow point'
