Why? Why? Was this show ended please bring back Dexter that new blood was awesome please Dexter needs more new blood! I don't like many shows but horror and blood and guts and all of it was awesome! Please keep Dexter coming back like the many many other horror characters in history of horror genre ! In new blood he was training the son and I think even bringing him out as a show would be great I never had showtime and I only just was put on I had tried to watch it years ago but was hooked on hbo shows ! I would love to see Dexter again or more the way the new blood ended it is possible it's just the actors needs to want it.
Watched this recently after going through the original 8 seasons and was pleasantly surprised. Expected a disney-fied experience, but was as dark and as funny as the original seasons. Although a lot of people appear to have really dislikes the ending, I actually loved it.
The cast were all excellent, even the younger actors (and let's be honest, 99.7% of kids in shows are either very annoying or very very annoying😁); the twists as the story unfolded were all pretty good if a little predictable; and the setting, in the snow really made it stand out from the Miami based original.
If you liked the originals, this is more of the same, with snow and a proper ending.

I really enjoyed the first two episodes. I liked how Dexter's missing inner dialogue, that is very essential to the character, provides the necessary insights into how he has managed to suppress his dark passenger for so many years. Dexter was always good at creating a fake persona that to other people appeared like a "regular" person, so it makes perfect sense that he has managed to blend in so easily. I have read several reviews saying that they hate Debra being Dexter's new guide and that every scene with her is uncomfortable, to me that's kinda the point. She symbolizes everything bad that has happened because of Dexter's darkness. "Harry" as a guide functioned as a reminder of the rules he was taught, he got Dexter to only kill bad people, but that's not the role "Debra" is intended to fill. You are supposed to find her presence unbearable because that's how Dexter feels too.
Overall I think it will be a great season, the writing is good and the actors, especially Michael C. Hall, are excellent.

I can't believe this has an 8.2 rating at the time of writing this 5/13/22.
The plot was okay couldve been executed way better than it was. Things seem way to convient. The finale just ruins any chance of this seiries even being considered good. Its just plain awful writing. It would have been better to not do the series at all. Its some how worse than the original ending. This is coming from a big Michael C. Hall and Dexter Fan, dont waste your time on this.

The original Dexter was absolutely, without a doubt, one of the best shows ever created! It's a thrilling, one of a kind TV show that will keep you at the edge of your seat throughout the entire series. Michael C. Hall is perfect as Dexter and the rest of the supporting cast is just as fantastic! Yes, the ending was terrible but like Game of Thrones, Lost (or any other show with a bad final episode), a few bad episodes at the end doesn't spoil what an overall great show it was and that's what Dexter is...a GREAT show! The ending was so bad they brought back Dexter: New Blood to give it a better ending. Problem is the ending to this was even worse. I've loved having Dexter back on my tv and the show was really good overall, they just blew the ending for a second time. It's still definitely worth watching!

- ErroresGetting a job working at a sporting goods store that sells firearms, and hunting supplies, would not be a good idea for someone who has faked their death and is trying to keep a low profile. As a former employee of a law enforcement agency, who has been reported missing and presumed dead, Dexter's fingerprints and photograph are in the system. Any business in the United States that sells firearms is required to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL), the owner of the store applying for the FFL, and any employees that conduct firearms sales, as Dexter does, are required to submit their photo and fingerprints to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), who uses them to conduct a thorough background check in both civil and criminal databases. Additionally, the state of New York also requires firearm dealers to obtain a New York State Firearms Dealer License (NYFL), the state requires all owners, partners and employees of businesses that sell firearms to be photographed and fingerprinted by the New York State Police, the state police then conduct their own additional background check in addition to the ATF's. "Jim's" fingerprints, and thanks to facial recognition software his photo, would instantly identify him as Dexter Morgan. Which would then cause him to be arrested on federal and state charges, as providing a false name, or intentionally providing any false information, on an FFL or NYFL application is a felony.
