If you hear that the show you've been watching is getting cancelled, you'd expect them to wrap it up nicely. They still had loose ends we didn't get to see Simone's chance to win a conference finals trophy or who would get to be with Keisha.
I was quite displeased with the lack of Damon in the show. Just to throw him back into the fold to screw with Lando's mind.
To not see what happened with their Bringston HBCU Sports Museum. What ended up happening with the future of Bringston University considering they were axing sports funding basically across the board. It also towards the end just seemed repetitive like this never ending cycle with their relationships.
I'm interested to see what happens with Season 7 of All American. Since that is also losing their central character.

I watch All American and enjoy it so I gave this spinoff a chance. As much as I want to like it, I find myself rolling my eyes every 10 min. It's unrealistic for college kids with real life problems to handle their issues like very mature experienced adults in every episode. Too many kumbaya moments. It's cheesy.
First off, I would say give the show a chance. I watched the original All American and admit I did not like Simone at all. When I heard she was the lead on a spinoff, I thought it was a terrible idea. I'm current with Homecoming and can say that Simone has made great strides as a character. The ensemble cast does a decent job and have their own storylines/arcs. Yes, no one can work through their own personal issues but gives the best advice to other characters which is consistent with the original All American. It's a nice change of pace to an HBCU college campus. I enjoy the show and don't take it too serious. Just my opinion.
All American: Homecoming is a drama set in July 2024 at Bringston University in Atlanta, Georgia. Simone is a talented tennis player hailing from the posh city of Beverly Hills, California and Damon is a skilled baseball player from the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. Both Simone and Damon have decided to compete in college sports at a Historically Black College in Atlanta, Georgia, which has a rich and diverse sporting culture. As they embark on this new journey together, they are bound to face thrilling challenges and exciting opportunities that will help them grow both as athletes and individuals.
One of the things that I appreciate the most about the show is how it captures the essence of the culture it portrays, making it relatable and appealing to those familiar with it. The storytelling is excellent, and it has the power to immerse viewers in the narrative creating a sense of connection between the audience and the characters. If you are someone who resonates with the values and traditions depicted in All American: Homecoming, then I would highly recommend giving this show a watch. You'll find yourself rooting for the characters as they navigate through their personal and professional struggles, and the show's positive message about the power of hard work and determination is truly inspiring. Overall, if you're looking for a show that captures the spirit of American culture and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit, then All American: Homecoming is definitely worth checking out.

Mediocre at best. Dry, unrealistic storylines. Too many of the side characters have storylines that take up too much time away from the main character's story. None of the characters are incredibly interesting.
