I felt honored to be a recipient of such special shared gifts from these incredibly talented artists.
I highly recommend this sacred oratorio as a 'must-experience' concert film. It is a worthwhile and intimate masterpiece.

Truly superb in every sense of the word. The orchestra, the soloists, the chorus, all absolutely wonderful. I was very happy that they used the King James Version of the Bible in their narration. It was worth so much more than the price of admission. All of my family expressed a similar sentiment. I hope to own it some day so that I can learn the songs and sing with them. Bravo!
This concert-film rendition of The Lamb of God, is a truly touching and intimate telling of the life of Christ in his final days. It offers views from those that walked and were with him during his ministry. The music is truly to be a treasured work of the heart.
The music lays out the life of Christ in a suburb human way. It was exquisite and very well performed. The most notable performance was that of Peter.
I only give it a 7 because some of the vocalists, especially the women, struggled with higher notes. The cinematography was a bit strange for most of it, and it could have used some other visual references through the concert.
That beings said. I cried throughout because of the strong connection I felt with the final week of Jesus' life. A wonderful work of art.

I'm always skeptical of things that "everyone" is recommending. My friends all posted raves about this when it was in theaters. Being somewhat like Thomas, I hesitated in seeing it, and then missed the opportunity to see it in theaters. I came across it on a streaming platform yesterday, and have watched it three times in less than 24 hours. It's exactly what my soul needed right now. Powerful performances, stirring orchestration, and wonderfully non-invasive cinematography. It feels raw, simple, real, and true. I will be returning to The Lamb of God over and over. What a gift!
¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThis production includes solo pieces and some choral parts not featured in the London Symphony Orchestra recording or performed elsewhere (e.g. a solo by Peter) prior to the Passover meal. Apparently they are new for this concert performance.
