Meri Awas Suno

We were eager to experience the Malayali touch after enjoying the original Bengali version Konttho. It was unfortunate to see that the movie didn't bring something new

DELICIOUS

-Meri Awas Suno sent out a huge warning on the extreme consequences of smoking and in Shankar's case, the throat cancer threatened his flourishing career.

-The make-up team accomplished a wonderful job on Shankar (pre and post-surgery)

-Performance was simply sublime across actors, no comments🙌

-It was so important to see Shankar's progressive journey after surgery: how he was affected mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and relationally.

The director took his time to display the various people who helped motivate him

BLAND

-Editing and cinematography were regrettably not smooth. Some of the drone footage were not controlled and scene cuts were very sharp at times

-Though Shankar was given plenty of lessons and signs about the care he had to render to his family, we never saw him implementing them at all😬

-The film didn't have its unique Malayali flavor except for tiny changes, making us wonder about the need for a remake.

Jayasurya was just beginning with his state award for Vellam (2021). He's got more and more to come. Totally fair to say Jayasurya was the pilot of this film and rest everyone was just passengers, including the director himself. Movie is dramatic from the very first scenes with some very old school shots. But once Jayasurya and Sshivdha comes into, the movie achieves its rhythm. Jayasurya was just too incredible! Manju Warrior's active, pleasant character often felt like overdoing stuffs - still was bareable. Rest everyone (special mention - Johny Antony) did their part clean!

Must watch movie with a fresh motivation story... Story of a RJ who live his voice and suddenly he loose it..through a motivational way this film shows how he stand up again in life and conquer his dream.

9/10 rating.

Meri awas suno is an over-dramatic movie that works in very few parts for me. Some drama would have looked better on paper, but the execution falls in same preachy, melodramatic area which is a hard watch. Prajesh Sen is kind of repeating himself with lesser effect each time and this time falling into a renjith sankar plus jis joyish zone. Even though jayasurya is in his typical character zone, it is his performance that carries the film and atleast help us to sit through the film. Shivada was also good but her character was also on and off, especially after considering the impressive wife characters in othrr prajesh movies. Manju warrier had the charm but nothing impressive to point out from her performance as the character doesn't offer much space.

JayaSurya's yet another performance oriented character selection and he does justice to it. There are some good music blend with the movie and also the radio jockey plot is effective for the story. Shivada is apt for the role and done well

Manju warrior is over acting and appear quite artificial again. Main problem is that the movie is mostly predictable and slow. Nothing engaging for the most part.

Another movie that I had to skip fast forward to complete.
