I enjoyed it

This show really got me thinking that marriage is hard work, and if you ever give up on yourself after getting married, you'd only resent your partner. Good show, but the story could be more intense..

Is Love Lovelier the Second Time Around?

We've seen or heard this kind of story many times before. A couple meets, falls madly in love, settles down, fights over misunderstandings and betrayal, breaks up then goes on with life. Is there something different from the narrative? Not much really. But somehow you finish the season with the thought that it's not a bad movie although it fails to excite the viewer. Perhaps Season 2 could improve the script. Where will the story take the viewer?

If you have time and don't want to think a lot

I can't say go now and watch it immediately but it is not trash. It is a little bit cheesy but acting and cinematography is good in my opinion. And it is not boring. It has a lot of erotic scenes. I don't know I am not feeling sorry to watched it but If you have shows on your watchlist already, you shouldn't rush to see it. But I don't think it deserves that bad points though, It is not a masterpiece of course but it isn't that bad I think.

It's nothing new, but it doesn't mean it's bad.

This has been done many times. I was expecting something a bit more fresh and new but the overall story wasn't bad tbh.

But it could've been a lot more than what it offered.

.... a program about fidelity hardly saying anything new.. yet okay

... there's a growing number of productions in this category.. this being one of the weaker of the bunch.. for shows where sex/nudity are some of the main ingredients, without scoring high marks here, there's little else to recommend them... script is mostly-fairly-boring, acting-just-okay... & actors not- wanting to 'bare' themselves in roles where its-pretty-much-essential shouldn't-be-signed... should there be a season two, what's the story to be.. same-old, same-old

... watching a second time brought out more of a natural storyline progression... dissolution of a marriage, retaining a friendship... making its conclusion more real and relatable

... a woman wanting-relishing her independence.. having multiple lovers just part of her untethered-lifestyle, any-all-exes okay with that welcomed being part of her social circle.

E6: Yesterday once more

Although this 6-episode short drama is not rated high, I still like it very much. The soundtrack, photography and storytelling are quite good.

The last episode is especially wonderful, and it represent yesterday. The beginning of the episode shows how Margherita and Carol met, and the end of the gathering recreates the scene sensually. Aurally, Tchaikovsky's music is a link between past and present. Visually, the framed mirror of the floor-to-ceiling windows is another connection. Meanwhile, yesterday's reappearance is ironic. Even if the beginning is as wonderful as a novel episode, even if two people are physically obsessed with each other and spiritually confidant, a marriage can still become lifeless and balanced by a 20-year-old female college student.

In the last episode, the two are also the mirror of each other. They shine in their respective area, which is inseparable from their devotion and persistence to themselves in the past and present. This actually shows that, outside of a relationship, whether or not to have self-space is more important. At most stages of our lives, we need to invest our energy to build and shine, regardless of gender.

It's an interesting couple relationship. The man is a writer, a writing course professor, and the woman is a real estate agent. The former is a very emotional profession that requires free, romantic, and unconstrained imagination, while the latter is a highly rational profession that needs to quickly measure gains and losses in the real world and help others complete important transactions in life. The two did a decent job in their roles, but they seemed to be a little off. At the same time, in this relationship, women make sacrifices and put their dreams on hold in support of her husband's writing.

This is a husband and wife relationship in which men cheated first and women followed. Cheating always refers to the fact that one of the spouses is the first to break away from the normal track of marriage and life, which must have a major impact on life. The question is, why did Carl cheat? Apparently, he was stuck in his daily life and needed some inspiration to advance his creative writing. But, at the last minute, when he found out that his wife had also cheated, he gave up the work and turned to become a publisher.

This is a TV series that pleases women. It tells a story of women's awakening, and reminds women once again that the focus must be on themselves. Margherita is saddened by Carol's infidelity. Because after getting married, she gave up her dream and focused her life on becoming a virtuous domestic helper, but she got a conventional ending of her husband's falling in love with a twenty-something college student. However, Carol's infidelity also makes Margherita re-examine her life. She chose to pick up her old dream from an old box and become a career woman, starting a decorating company. She is grateful to the handsome masseuse. Because to a certain extent, she took advantage of him and successfully used him as a tool person who would throw it away. In the relationship between the two, she took the initiative to give hints, and the other party responded positively. But in turn, he helped her start over.

After two-way derailment and looking for life, the two people are still not satisfied with the status quo, so the ending is an open ending. Of course, compared to Carol's loss, Margherita has won back the dominance over the relationship that was in her hands from the beginning. At this time, she is mature, beautiful and radiant both in her career and relationship.

A Little Disappointing

First off, this film, Fidelity, is shown on Netflix with the title Devotion.....so if you look for it there, use this title. While not really very good, I admit it held my attention enough to get through all six episodes. It is a pretty typical story about beautiful people, completely absorbed and wrapped up in themselves. The main couple have been together over five years, apparently due solely to sexual attraction, and little else. Their level of personal communication is minimal. At the FIRST hint of "possible" infidelity, it all goes to Hell. While the version I watched was dubbed into English (from Italian) AND had subtitles that didn't match the translation heard, it's difficult to judge the acting and writing.....but it seemed to be almost amateurish. I wonder if the writing was poor, or the lovely actors and actresses simply couldn't relate to their characters when they experience difficulties in life. I don't know if this is typical for contemporary Italian films, but I've watched quite a few films, dramas and mysteries, from Eastern Europe, and they are often far more believable.....the actors are VERY attractive, but in a more "real-life" way, and not drop-dead gorgeous runway models. (that can sometimes be distracting and un-realistic) At any rate, I'm still debating whether to recommend this film. I don't regret watching it, but I know there's much better out there.

Just beautiful

I am so sad for it to be over. I liked both characters and their struggles. Although this story not new, this was well executed. I believe most married couples can relate to the tale of a relationship being stale. Both characters were physical appealing, intellectually strong, creatively ambitious. I am hoping for a second season. Will love second time around be in their future? Hope so.

One review said it is a movie for women. Maybe be a about love not war. No guns, stabbings, murders. Easy to watch. Satisfying.

I can see why there are few reviews. Hard to meet minimum requirements for word length.

Festina Lente, Gaudete Satis

To those who still believe Italy only exports monuments, fashion, and pasta, Fedeltà is an elegant demonstration that existential drama, when filtered through the Italian lens, acquires visual and affective nuances rarely seen outside European art cinema. Yes, I'm biased: my devotion to Italian aesthetics spans architecture to manners, the language to music, cuisine to the art of transforming the everyday into poetry. This series is, at the very least, "bellissima" - though its beauty is not exuberant, but contained, almost secret.

It's curious to note how Fedeltà has been underestimated by critics less attuned to the silent rhythm of desire and the millimetric dance of conjugal disenchantment. Perhaps audiences-trained to expect spectacular climaxes and robust moral judgments-found it odd that here infidelity is not tragedy, but near-accident; not a scandal, but an existential drift. Like a French tale, the script seems to refuse any excessive emotional weight, preferring the less obvious path: dissolving the bond without spectacle, allowing each character to follow their own course-like life, without catharsis.

If the series doesn't reinvent the melodrama wheel, neither does it pretend to. What sets it apart is its aesthetic allure and carefully composed atmosphere: beautiful scenes, beautiful people, elegant cuts (albeit not always seamless), and a culture that, I confess, gripped me more through its language and landscapes than through narrative suspense alone. There are moments when the direction slips into abrupt cuts and the occasional rushed sequence, but the work compensates through the sum of its sensory details, inviting the viewer to devour the episodes unhurriedly-and, at times, without great shocks.

At its core, the moral of Fedeltà could be distilled into the old Latin maxim: "Festina lente, gaudete satis" - make haste slowly, rejoice enough. The protagonists collapse precisely because they violate both commandments: they yield to the urgency of desire without maturing the relationship's meaning; they seek pleasure outside the bond, never finding sufficiency. The result is a calm, adult, anti-heroic drama that refuses both excess and abstinence, reminding us that, in the end, those who rush pleasure lose it.

Fedeltà is neither a classic nor a fiasco: it is an invitation to contemplate our own missteps. My rating, severe yet fair: 7/10.

Definition of love and desire

The series has successfully describes the relations between common spouse. The story is good with dialogue and script. The love and desire in life is uncontrolled and it finds its way in own style. One have patience to watch it from start to end. The turbulance in life describes the life itself. Life is full of emotions, happiness, sorrow etc. One can set principles but nothing in control of anyone. These are the themes of whole series. I recommend every married couple to watch this. The series is full of romance, emotions etc. The end is good and tells some basic conclusion for romantic couples.

Should have ended with episode 5

A mostly banal series that floated along at 4 to 5 stars through episode 5. Then we get to the final episode and it takes a big dive into the crapper.

Nice story

The story during the series is interesting, but in the time that I expected the final countdown in the 6 episode, it was going so slowly and whithout tensions.

I see a mistake in this kind of movies which influences the new couples. After seeing this movies, you must thing that affairs are allowed in marriage and you can continue with that because you love him/her. If I ever see my girl like he sawin front of the bar at the episode 5, I don't think I would tries to meet her again in my life.

People need to understand that affairs usually are not acceptable by neither of the partner. So don't try it in your life.

I gave 7, because it was my first italian movie and I used to like all the actors and actresses, but I did not like the end of it!

Nice

It was an easy to watch tv series and this is the reason why I liked it. Nice characters, a nice story. It shows the consequences of cheating on your partner. It can never be the same after this.

Rubbish

This series made no sense from the start! The editing is all over the place, and there is little in the way of continuity to help the viewer understand what is happening. Barely any context is provided and the series seems to revolve around simulated sex acts in almost every episode. It's just not worth the time or effort to watch!

Margherita stopped loving Carlo

Margherita stopped loving him, she became bored by her husband. He never cheated on her, in fact he rejected Sofia everytime. He acted responsible all the time. Margherita cheated on him whithout having any proof on Carlo. She just assumed like almost every woman in this world. She plays dirty and unfair. Carlo should have eneded with Sofia, which by the way was his soulmate. What happened with Carlo and Sofia? Why they did not end togheter?? Margherita ended like a prostitute. Carlo is charming, still in love with his wife, but she played dirty, just like a prostitute. It does not feel fair the ending with Carlo. I hope he will be with Sofia next season.

Actors Were, Scenery was Good bute

Everything else was boring and trite. This movie has been made at least 100 times so I question Netflix's reason for making it again. Surely there must be some original scripts floating around in the world that aren't tired imitations.
