The Shaman's Apprentice is a "green" film. Some of the ways the production team lessened their environmental impact: they carefully managed waste and recycling, used recycled props and set elements, reheated or composted leftovers, carpooled, emailed instead of printing, and provided each crew member with their own re-usable water bottle. Not one plastic water bottle was thrown away, and thanks to a composting and recycling system, they only generated a single bag of trash over 10 days.
