Too brooding with a fairly linear and predictable storyline. It began well, but seemed to hit a soggy middle rather quickly, then proceeded to an anti-climatic ending. I wanted something remarkable or surprising but it was not to be.

In the end it reminded me a bit of "The outs". Quite a good indie show as well. The cinematography and the acting of side characters is a bit spotty from time to time, but the main characters are quite strong. Jason Alan Clark as Aron is exceptional and carries most of the show. Would love to get a season two.

I can't emphasize enough what a gem this show is. Now in its second season, the cast have only grown more comfortable in their roles, the emotional rifts between them only starker. Omar Salas Zamora as the creator and showrunner of the series exudes a quiet confidence, never diverting or losing sight of the characters and emotional honesty of the series. Jason Alan Clark is a huge talent, playing the lead Aaron, who is trying to navigate the gay dating scene of contemporary LA. Clay von Carolwitz steals every scene he's in as Malcom, who pines for Cassie (Noelle Miller) but always seems like he's on the verge of completely blowing it up.
